The hotel lot and room itself were very clean and in good repair. Nothing fancy. Beds were very comfortable and clean with multiple variety of pillows. A/C worked well, with one caveat. The price was quite good, compared to other options. Staff was friendly, available, and helpful. Very basic included breakfast — waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, boiled eggs, OJ, coffee, etc. Dining room was very clean. Nothing fancy, but good enough to get on the road without being hungry. Coffee was very good. WiFi streaming speed was quite impressive for a hotel. No delays for me, and excellent bandwidth the whole stay. The hotel business is tough, but I loved the conspicuous cleanliness, repair, and bright colors of this place. Nice. If you don't require luxury, this is a solid choice.

Time lock on dining room was delayed. Had to get help to gain entry at 6am. The breakfast didn't seem to be very popular (I only saw one other person there), so I won't complain about lack of offerings. There were plenty of options, if you were starving. The only protein items were hard boiled eggs (like other hotels I like — in the fridge, FYI). OJ was limited, but probably more than enough for the amount of guests attending. Overall, a solid variety for a family to eat in the morning. Room A/C needed to have the dark drapes pulled away from the vents to cool the room at night. Not a deal-breaker, but FYI. WiFi login needed to be renewed every day — again, not a deal-breaker, but FYI. Room coffee not impressive, but dining room had very good coffee @ 6am.

I liked that the suites had doors separating the living area from the sitting area, made it easy when we put the kids to bed

Unfortunately even though the space was acceptable we won’t be staying again. We checked out 17 days ago and they still have a hold on our card for the incidental charge. They said it would take 5-10 days (which is excessive anyways to be honest) but 17 days is outrageous. My bank says they don’t even see a pending release on the hold. It’s really unacceptable and inconvenient that over 2 weeks later that charge is still in my pendings.

The breakfast was great because I love homemade oatmeal and usually this level of hotel just offers instant oatmeal. The oatmeal was homemade and delicious. I brought my own toppings because my experience has been that healthy toppings to oatmeal aren't usually provided. I am glad I did. To increase value, I would add more healthy topping choices for the oatmeal like cranberries, nuts, coconut, etc. The coffee was good but I like mine hot. If you didn't get the coffee first thing, then it was just warm. The property seemed well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable.

I managed to get a parking spot fairly close to my room, but I am a walker so I didn't mind walking. It would be nice to have numbered spaces so you can count on being close to your room.

The location was good. Lots of places to eat nearby. The bed was comfortable, pillows a little lumpy. The refrigerator never did get cold. The free breakfast was OK there was a waffle maker, they had hot oatmeal and a few cold cereals. There had boiled eggs, yogurt ,apple's and a few pastries. It would have been nice to have raisins for the oatmeal or granola for the yogurt. The staff were friendly.

The only negative was that the refrigerator didn't get cold but we just used ice for our ice chest.

Lamplighter is a beautiful, well-maintained property overall. I was upgraded to a one-bedroom suite, which can accommodate up to 6 people - two queen beds in the separate bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room. The beds are quite comfy. The bathroom is off the living room, with a door that separates the toiled and tub/shower from the sink, and there is a tiny but serviceable kitchen off the living room as well. The breakfast included is substantially beyond merely "continental" - with hard boiled eggs, yogurt, prepared oatmeal, and waffle/pancake maker, etc.

The size of the living area in the suite is a bit tight compared to some other properties, and the fixtures are not quite as modern, but overall very nice.

Our room had a comfy bed and comfy sofa/living area. We REALLY appreciate all the good lighting in every area of our room, too. The fridge kept our food/drinks nice and cold and was roomy. The a/c did an excellent job, as well! Good tv with an hdmi port if we wanted to attach our laptop to watch programming that the tv did not access. We really appreciate that!

Our Booking.com confirmation says that our room includes a microwave. However there was no microwave. When I inquired in person at the front desk, the receptionist said that that information is not accurate. Also, that they had no extra microwaves to provide one for us. We asked about this on Booking.com messaging in which I attached a screenshot of Booking.com confirmation info that shows the words "microwave" for the room (not just facilities), the answer just said that there were no extras to provide us with one. Also, in these covid times, we do wish that the breakfast room were not so cramped. We wore our face masks every time we were inside that small room and many times we were quite crowded in there while getting our food & drinks.

I enjoyed the kitchenette, and the bed was comfortable. I was lucky to have a room away from most other neighbors, too, because I chose the upgrade to include the kitchenette. The room was huge! I felt very comfortable there and wish I could have been able to stay more than two nights there. Next time! This was definitely a great value for those of us who travel on a budget.

There was a little noise from other neighboring rooms. The parking lot and location of the rooms felt safe, but the neighborhood was a bit sketchy at night when I drove back to the room. Otherwise, I would stay here again.

Cleanest rooms we have found in a long time. Motel is old but generally in good order and decoration.

Poorly run booking system and reception. We extended our stay twice as we liked the place and on each occasion had problems despite going through this with reception. We had a "your car will be towed" notice our first morning as reception failed to tell us we needed a sticker and forgot to provide it. Final booking was lost and only accepted when we showed booking receipt on phone. The following afternoon we received an email advising our booking was cancelled..... Sorted by Gilda (manager) after a long and heated phone call interrupting our SeaWorld outing. Staff were friendly but seemed to struggle to understand or sort out basic check in processes. First (119) and third rooms (111) we were in had noisy a/c units so avoid these.

Breakfast was adequate. Rooms were clean with a stocked kitchen. The décor was clean but straight out of the 1960's. ALL of the staff were friendly and helpful with any need or question.

We had to check out a day early, per our reservation we were not entitled to any refund. No issue with this as I agreed to it much earlier when I booked the property. I was not able to finalize the billing when I left the hotel. I still have not received the promised statement via email.
