The hotel itself was perfect! Very clean, quiet, comfortable. The check-in hosts were very pleasant to deal with in person. Location was great, everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance. Breakfast was nice.

We could barely see or hear the small tv laying in bed. The pool is unusually small and there is no spa, which we would have preferred over the pool. The bathroom sink clogged up on us. They charged us double ($120) for parking 2 motorcycles in 1 spot that we had to challenge, twice. But they ended up refunding us in the end, so all is good.

We liked the kitchenette that allowed us to cut and serve fruits. The bedroom had adequate space for us to open up 4 big luggages. The living room was spacious and neat. The restroom was well located at the other end of the room (not in bedroom) and it was surprisingly clean despite being an old property. Bed was comfortable with quilt sandwiched between 2 thin sheets. Front desk staffs are very friendly. We expect to hear band music but it was quiet during our stay (due to Christmas session when some shops were closed). We loved the toiletries supplied especially the hair conditioner which made our hair soft and manageable.

The heater in the bedroom cannot be turned off when temperature was set to 25 degree celsius. so it was a little stuffy. On the contrary, the living room was cold as the heat was unable to reach where my daughter was sleeping (on sofa bed). We did not use the old blanket (looked awful to us) kept in the wardrobe on the first night. To keep my daughter warm on subsequent nights, we took the thin sheet from our bed and layered it under the old blanket. My daughter commented the sofa bed was hard. Another irritating thing was the room cards. They kept deny our access to the rooms on many occasions.

I liked our room. Although, while I realize it was a handicap accessible room, those accomodations weren't necessary for my wife and I. As such, using the low mirror and lower countertops was a challenge for us. I am certain a wheelchair bound person would have valued this type of accomodation. Overall, we enjoyed the room.

As stated earlier, my wife and I did not need handicap accessible accomodations. Counters were low and the mirror was low.

Great location! Everything is walkable. I like that the hotel is a little old fashioned with friendly staff and helpful valets. The breakfast is not mind blowing but it was good and the coffee was excellent. It’s very nice to have a kitchenette in the room. The view of San Diego Bay is breathtaking.

The mattress felt like it needed to be updated

Great location

Expensive parking. But you can park a block away at the public Ace lot. Marriott rate was $55 per day valet. Ace was $33 for 2 days.

I really appreciated that the hotel included breakfast! The rooms were spacious enough, comfortable and practical given that it had a kitchenette. The location was excellent. Close to everything.

The outrageously expensive parking for guests. We found another place to park down the street where we paid less than $20 rather than $60.

Our stay was only one night but we booked it so we could get a good sleep after a long flight with stopovers. The Hotel delivered with a very quiet room and a very comfortable bed and bedding. We didn’t eat the breakfast which was provided but ate across the street. The evening before sleeping we ate at a Greek restaurant across the street.

Location! And beautiful lobby! Rooms a bit outdated compared to more modern lobby.

The staff serving breakfast. A lady who was there all 3 days of our stay. Rude, unprofessional and genuinely DID NOT WANT TO BE THERE. If you hate your job that much, quit. We felt like we were putting her out just being there. When my husband decided to get Orange juice AND coffee (gasp!) you would’ve thought we asked her to sign over her first born. It was appalling. Put this lady in housekeeping where she doesn’t need to face hotel patrons. She genuinely ruined the breakfast experience.

Exceptional young woman at front desk working the first few days we were there. We had a problem with our first room and Lalo was sent up, accessed, moved us to a new room and was exceedingly pleasant

Still not a fan of those pocket doors of recent years. 😊
