The location was in a nice safe district, in what we found to be very much a city of two halves. The lovely picturesque half and the other frequented by the very public vagrants with obvious drug problems. This made the city feel the most threatening and abandoned by its people of all the places we visited on our stay in the US. Be careful not to stay in or stray into the districts such as the Tenderloin district. It was certainly an eye opener to the problems facing the US administration at this time. The hotel was located walking distance from the docks and the boardwalk areas of the city and Lombard street on which the hotel sits is also walking distance from the famous wiggly street. (it is all uphill so therefore not for the faint hearted perhaps) And there was a bloke walking a duck, what is not to like about that?

Nothing really because the hotel itself was difficult to fault, and it was exactly what we needed for our stay. The staff had good local knowledge and a hop on hop off tour bus stopped outside the door. Although we did not use it because it seemed expensive. The city is very walkable, but be careful where you walk, as previously stated.

Booking.com had already made the chargers and they also made them to the card. it was stressful because I had NO MORE PRE FUNDS, SINCE THE HOTEL WAS PAID . In the end, they charged me all rooms and deposit, if they returned it to 3 days later, it is the 1st time that it has happened. That they charge again when booking I already charge ! why?

location, quiet, comfortable

Another guest blocked my car in the basement parking garage. It took 30 minutes to get the car moved. Not really the motel management’s fault, but they could better monitor the parking garage and not allow one guest to block another guest’s car.

Luggage storage + I was able to leave the car at the parking lot after checking out. Also they gave us water to fill our water bottles :)

I arrived at the hotel after a long drive, needed a restroom and the receptionist denied access to one, only once I paid he gave me the keys to the room so I could get to the toilet. They had a clear message "No public restrooms" but if someone is in a real hurry, is a human thing to do to provide one. They had one for staff use, which I was able to use when I got my luggage. My corp card failed, and since I was in a hurry I paid with my personal card.

There's a bus station directly in front of the entrance, also the Big bus tour Station. It takes about 7 minutes with the bus to fisherman's wharf. Nice small and clean room with a nice view to the golden gate bridge.

In the first day there was a bad smell in the room, maybe from the AC so we used a lot of deodorant and perfume because we had nothing else to get rid of the smell. When trying to open the window you could see someone broke it before and it wasn't very succesfully repaired with that glue so you had to be careful. There were about 2-3 tiles in the bathroom which were broke and had sharp edges, there were no kids with us so it was ok for us but definitely a no go if you have children with you. The beds are very hard and might not be comfortable for everyone.

This hotel is a great value for the money. It's very conveniently located, close to all major attractions and has parking! I'd like to point out the super comfortable and firm beds. Staff is helpful and friendly. We needed extra pillows and that was accommodated very quickly.

We had only one minor problem, the fridge was not working. We did not have any food that we needed to refrigerate, just the water. Make sure you bring it up to the front desk right away, they will do their best to accommodate.

• Great location if you don't mind a 20-30 minute walk to the Wharf. Lots of local dining near the inn that are short walk away. • Private and free parking is included, which is a big plus for me, especially in a city like San Francisco. We felt safe leaving our cars in the inn's parking garage. We were arriving in two cars so it made better sense for us to book here than a biggee named hotel but have to pay twice for parking. • The room was decent size and had 2 Queen beds. Had a storage space for clothes and luggages. Plenty of cabinet space. The refrigerator was pretty big. Room was very clean when we arrived. AC worked great. • Mattresses were firm, which we loved. If you don't like it firm, definitely reconsider. • Bathroom was great size, plenty of mirrors and counter space. The bathroom came with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. Always prefer dispensers instead of tiny bottles. • If you use a hair dryer, the one in the bathroom was very good. Don't let the size or look of it fool you. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying here.

• Water pressure of the shower head could be stronger. • Parking garage felt too tight and limited spaces, but it was free so not a big deal. We did leave for dinner one of the nights and they ran out of parking spaces. Good thing it was at night and about to be Sunday the following day, so we were able to.park on the street right infront of the inn. • A big family were in multiple rooms beside us on the same floor, and they kept opening their doors during the night and it kept sounding like it was our door that was being opened. Eventually I just put my earpods on so it stopped bothering me.

The property is located on Lombard Street with a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. Although it's directly on a busy street, the rooms are comfortable and not too noisy. Quite expensive for what it offers but I guess that is San Francisco. The rooms are well maintained and clean with lots of sockets and USB ports which is rare in older hotels. Parking is covered and free with direct access to the elevator

The staff who checked me in was pretty emotionless and cold with limited answers on questions so I did not bother more and asked other people.

Very good location in San Francisco. Very good price. The hotel has a garage, which can be very useful. A small supermarket nearby. Some of the city's main attractions can also be reached on foot or by bus, which stops in front of the hotel. On the last day, they kept my luggage until I left for the airport.

I had an amount higher than two nights' stay blocked on my bank card for another month. This amount represented insurance for two nights ($200) and a one-night reservation via Booking. After a one month, these funds on the bank card were automatically released.
