It was on a bus route and only a 1/2 block walk to Van Ness Ave (Hwy 101) which was a relatively flat (hill-free) walkway for us to reach Fisherman’s Wharf about 8 blocks away. Recently updated floors and sparkling bathroom. No air conditioning but a rotating fan was supplied & doubled as white-noise for sleeping.

The street was busy with muffler noise going uphill to Van Ness. There was complimentary coffee in the morning at the front office but nothing for continental breakfast as we were lead to believe there may be. Our daily breakfast was a steep 1-1/2 blk uphill walk to “The New Spot on Polk” at Van Ness, but well worth it as it was always delicious! Dinners were on Union about 2-3blks away in the other direction.

Wow.... I'm not sure if it's just the location or something, it was a GOOD VIBE and Energy and (Everyone) in the surrounding rooms were behaving nicely and very Cool social. It was a very different experience... Fun like.. The gentleman at the desk (Graveyard shift), wow, he was just easy going, like kind and friendly if I had any questions and call the office. And it wasn't phony, nice guy! The cleanliness and feeling of being in a "Clean Place!", Is real. Reasonably priced and Decent place. I'm sure it will be my "Go to" place for a good experience. What ever the reason or why it's different from the other places, Pleeeze keep the energy and cool people. NO TROUBLE MAKERS! Thanks! Rick

Great location for visiting family living on Russian Hill. Close to lots of good restaurants, cafés, Fisherman’s Wharf, the marina, and public transportation - you can walk everywhere. The place is relatively spartan but is clean, comfortable, and an excellent value.

No fan in bathroom to remove the moisture - couch was a bit musty. Would be better to place two large chairs in place of sofa to improve air circulation. Also, all three lamps (two bedside, one overhead, which was plugged into a wall receptacle behind the couch) were on the same circuit, so the only way to have just the bedside lamps on was to move the couch and unplug the overhead lamp.

It was very quiet and peaceful. I felt safe and peaceful falling asleep. Everyone and everything there was quiet and polite!

My room had dust around the lights fixtures next to bed, it messed with my asthma a little. I also did not like that some (not all) of the bottles provided (shampoo, ect. were either empty or used). The television is very small & there was only 1 outlet by the bed (usually there’s room for a phone charger at least) but it was taken up by both lamps..

The owner was very attentive and friendly he even had plastic utensils (our food delivery forgot them ) the room was huge , with mini fridge, micro and iron . The bathroom was awesome. And free parking!

The only thing that was a little issue was the gas heater. Upon walking in the smell of gas but I recognized the fumes from my mom's old heater and we opened up the window and that was the solution. No big deal.

What made our stay was Mike, the daytime host. He was so friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for our purposes.

The room was small, and not nicely furnished. Truly like a motel from the 1950s. Not worth the cost. The room was 80 degrees when we arrived, and we slept the first night with that. Mike solved the problem the following morning.

I can’t believe people would have complaints about this property. My room was exceptional. The bathroom had been renovated, and it was very spacious with a good shower . The bed was excellent. The room was comfortable and it was relatively quiet.The Staff was great….good location too.plenty of parking.

There was coffee and tea offered but we didn't really try them. The location is great and near so many shops, food places, and tourist locations in wlaking distance of around 30min. In all directions.

Nothing really. I'd only suggest that some food be complimentary for the high price of the hotel. Otherwise, the staff was really nice and recommended some places we should visit.

The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a spacious and convenient bathroom and a fridge. Each morning, guests could enjoy coffee at the reception. The welcoming and friendly staff made the experience even better.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of a lot of attractions, with a bus stop close by for those that are far away. The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. While there is no room service, tea and coffee is available at reception and we were given the menu cards of places that deliver food to the roo..
