I was so impressed with this place. I had stayed somewhere else the first night of my trip, and I was blown away at how quiet and peaceful the Castle Inn is. With staying in the city, most places are loud and rowdy. The Castle Inn was so peaceful and quiet. I WILL stay here again. And GREAT parking! In their underground parking garage there's an alarm that rings when it senses someone is there. It gave me peace of mind.

I liked everything. If I have to stay one negative thing, it's that the elevators are old. If you have a disability, I would contact them beforehand just to make sure your needs are met. There is a flight of stairs you must go up to get to the office that I didn't see an alternative accessible route for

Castle Inn exceeded my expectations. The reviews had already made me feel I was choosing a good hotel, but ended up being great. The hotel is in a good location and they have their own free private parking and checking in and out was very easy. The hotel is like motel in the sense that each room has it's own outdoor entrance and no need to go through a lobby to access. If the price were a bit lower then I would say this was the best option in San Francisco, but reality is we only reserved a room there because I had a credit to use which lowered the price of my room significantly so the price was not an issue at the time. Still, it is a hotel worth spending the extra money on. I would stay again.

Room was clean, and quite. The hotel is in a very good location and close to public transportation, so it is easy to move around if you did not rent a car. It also has a decent view over the window. You self Check out, so when you are done, you just leave.

Not a lot to complain about, I did see that parking is limited, so if you plan to rent a car you may have trouble parking.

Most important, it has a free parking included in room price, so if you have a car you don't have to worry about it, cause honestly driving in San Francisco is a nightmare. Great localisation, just a few bus stops to the city centre, close to Chinatown etc. the room and the bathroom was fine and the price for it was a fair one. Staff was really helpful, gave us some nice tips about our visit. Definitely recommend.

The location of Castle Inn is excellent. The neighborhood is safe with good bars and restaurants nearby. It was close to all the places I wanted to visit with easy access to public transportation. The room was very clean. I loved having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. I am a light sleeper and the hotel honored my request to have a room far from the elevator and trafic noise.

I know this is personal preference, but the beds were so soft that I couldn't sleep. I prefer a firm bed. This is the only reason I may not return. Otherwise, it's a great value.

Very clean room. Better than expected. Microwave and Coffee maker provided. The bathroom was clean. To the management - Seriously, you need to update the pictures of the room on booking.com (the ones on the site look like very old rooms, it does not do justice to what we experienced)

Parking is challenging especially when turning in from the main road. Lift is very old.

The room was nice. Staff was very nice. It was a decent neighborhood compared to a lot of places in San Francisco. It was a small place surrounded by apartment buildings which made it fairly quiet.

Parking was very tricky. Very tight quarters. No breakfast and the ice machine never worked.

I don’t have anything bad to say about this place. It actually exceeded our expectations. The photos they have on booking.com needs to be updated as those photos doesn’t justify how nice the room is. Bed was so comfortable, room was clean with microwave and fridge plus hair dryer, iron and ironing board. It’s worth the stay!

The proximity to all the wonderful things to San Francisco. The friendly, helpful staff. The feeling of safety.

The lights over the bathroom mirror need to be rewired. Only one light bulb was on, the other two flickered. The bathroom faucet was loose and needs to be tightened.

Perfect position in a nice and quite neighborhood. Emily, the owner/employee was very nice and gave us good hints. Very close to all the main attractions and very good restaurants and stores are in walking distance.
