Pleasantly surprised of this inn. I did not expect much as it’s not a hotel but I was quite happy with what I booked. The room is very spacious and the bed is a king size bed and very comfortable. The bathroom is also spacious and there is room to put your luggage and clothes. The location is also ideal and near everything by foot (for the walkers because SF is very very hilly (extremely hilly)). There are a lot of little restaurants and bars around the corner. The neighborhood is also safe

The downside of the inn/the room was the fact that they put a coffee machine at our disposal (capsule one) but they also put some solvent coffee instead of 1/2 capsules which was quite strange because there was no water kettle in the room so the solvent coffee was useless and the coffee machine too except if you buy the capsules yourself. The second downside was the fact that the water in the shower was not super warm. Other than that everything was good!

The king bedroom was very spacious, clean and it looked just like in the pictures on the website. I had asked for a quiet room that did not face the street and was not adjacent to the elevator and I was assigned one that fulfilled these requirements. I was also able to check in a few hours early, which I very much appreciated. The inn is about half an hour walk to the marina and Fishermen's Wharf.

There was no option to store suitcases at reception after check-out. The reception was almost always unstaffed, although a phone number was provided.

The location was great, in the quiet Nobb Hill neighbourhood and close to the 49 Muni Bus down Van Ness Ave. A few shops, cafes and restaurants close by. You could walk (about 20-30 mins) down to Ghirradelli Sq and Fishermans Wharf or catch transport. The house keeping staff were lovely, with a clean room each day and very accommodating.The room was pretty well equipped.

The front desk staff were hardly seen and not that helpful. The hotel won't hold bags if you have a late flight. The worst part was the "elephants" above us. The hotels sound proofing wasn't good and we could hear other travellers all around us and especially a child using the rolling chairs early in the morning 🙄.. An upgrade on the flooring outside the room would also help refresh it.

Location is great, walking distance to great restaurants. Polk Street is a hip and happening place now, and just 1/2 block away. Lots of UCSF students give it a lively feel. There is a green bicycle route on Polk as well, which we used a lot. The parking lot under the motel was free.

Sheets were thin, no coffee or tea in office, cheap coffee in rooms. Outdoor carpets were grungey (but indoor flooring was clean.) Clerks were not in the office most of the time, you had to call for service. Our room (310) had a partial city view but most rooms did not.

The location was great for getting around the city. At night it was very quiet. There was absolutely no noise pollution which was impressive. The staff were all friendly and helpful. My only gripe is that the parking spots are very tiny and difficult to get into. However, there is parking available on the street and is more accessible in the evening.

Tiny parking spots. I would not suggest trying to park a truck or large suv in a parking spot in the provided parking. Small SUV’s and sedans work well for this parking. The elevator does close at night. There are several stair wells to access all floors after the elevator is down though.

The room was a good size, the bed was extra large and comfortable. The room was cleaned every day. Location was very good, very near public transport and within 30 minutes of the Presidio, fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 and Pier 33 if you are going to Alcatraz.

Although the refurbished room looked good, I thought a couple of more minor additions would complete the stay. The room has a microwave and a refrigerator but no cutlery or crockery. Get rid of the paper cups and put real cups in there. A toaster would be handy. Power outlets on one side of the room were either blanked off or just didn't work.

The location was very local and very safe. As a young female i felt very safe walking down the street to walgreen at night. Many restaurants and stores near by. China town was about a 20 minute walk away from the inn.

The only thing we didn’t like was that we can hear the people above us walking around their room. Not sure if they were wearing heels and that why it sounded so loud, but it was only during the day so it didn’t distrupt our sleep, plus that’s not really the inns fault just thought it’s worth putting on here

The parking is a big plus and why we picked it, also because of the area, its very central and seems to be a nice and safe area. Rooms are supposed to be fully renovated and they look modern now.

Room could be a bit more decorated, it looks very empty even thought its renovated, its not very cozy tho.. parking spots are limited and small but it does the job and next day is possible to repark if you dont get a spot. There were few hair in the bathroom when we got in, so not spot clean, but overall good. Most disappointed we were about the way how thin the walls were, if you get unlucky like we did you will hear people around snoring and walking around the rooms, the windows were also not really isolated and room was cold, radiator was not working.

As promised, rooms were new and clean. My room was spacious and beds were comfortable. The escalator work for the bags although we usually use the stairs to get up and down to the room on level 2. Sufficient car park lots although it was packed every night.

Thin walls or ceiling boards - stayed for 3 nights and we could hear the guests upstairs moving around between 10 pm to 2am and again from 4am onwards. Free car park was good but like what the reviews shared, the lots were tiny and need driver to skillfully steer the car in.

Great location, everything you could want or need is close by. Lovely places to eat in the area. The room was fantastic, very big, really clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spotless with nice bright lights and toiletries were provided. The car parking is under cover below the rooms so your car is super safe. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
