The staff was incredibly nice, helpful and efficient. The room was beautiful, decorated with taste and pretty big. No restaurant in the hotel but some hot coffee and scones were delivered in the morning as a complementary breakfast. Yummy! Our room has a fireplace and it was a really nice warm addition to the room. Well located the hotel is 3 mins drive from downtown SLO

The experience was really great, and to make it perfect, the only thing I would suggest this brand new hotel is to add an armchair & a small table in the room to add to the cozyness of the room. The room was big and could totally welcome an additional seating spot, so that a couple can sit and eat the delicious morning scones comfortably

San Luis Creek Lodge is so charming, friendly and incredibly comfortable. When we walked in our room the sconces on the wall were illuminated and jazz music was playing from the TV. It was a very warm welcome. I unfortunately got sick during part of our stay and had to spend a lot of time in bed but the bed was very comfortable and the overall vibe of the space was quiet, calm and relaxing. Every detail has been considered: from the the lighting, rugs, art, textures, bath products (Aesop) to the adorably curated "mini bar" filled with local treats and drinks. Every morning they bring a Stanley thermos filled with coffee and fresh scones to your door. The location is perfect...on Monterey close to other hotels and a short walk to downtown SLO. SLO is a special town and this is a very special place to stay while you visit. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here the day after we got married and they were great! They gave us a free bottle of wine and our room was everything we expected from seeing the photos online. Such a fun boho feel to the rooms and you get complimentary scones and coffee that is delivered to your door in the morning in a super cute tote that you can keep.

Parking is a little tight and there isn't much there for spaces but overall it's worth it for how nice the rooms are. Only other downside is there is no shower door so where the opening is, water splashes out and gets the bathroom floor a little wet.

I enjoyed the hot coffee waiting for me when I woke up. The pastry (scone) was also great and they made sure to have enough for everyone in my family (we had two rooms). The rooms are large, clean, modern and tranquil. We had a gas fireplace in each room that really warmed the room. The bed was very comfortable as well. Shower was excellent and very large, with premium products there from Aesop (which I love already!) to use. Great location close to downtown (less than a mile) and highway 101 (but you can't hear it or see it). Would definitely stay there again, it felt like being in a master bedroom in a beautiful home.

The location of the property is easily accessible via UBER or short walk to the main section of town for a glass of wine or a dinner option. I loved the decor, the clean 70s vibe with essentials, each well thought out. I loved the comfortable bed, sheets, and pillows on the grand king bed.

I thought the towels were a bit under the level of the rest of the amenities of the property, a bit over-washed and dry in feeling. They clearly have used a linen company who does not have a clue about how to wash a towel. This can be easily remedied, as the rest of the bath essentials are exceptional.

Aesop toiletries made the stay feel luxurious. The space was was very clean, modern, and comfortable. Breakfast was comprised of pastries and local coffee in a thermos, left on your door in a reusable tote you can keep. I loved all the little design touches, from the cute tiles to the custom mugs and modern artwork. Centrally located and quiet.

I didn't realize that this was a pet-friendly hotel. I didn't see any signs of pets in our room (or hear any throughout the complex) but good to note for anyone who might have allergies.

Loved the location of the hotel. The room was spacious, comfy and had a cool vibe. I loved looking out my window onto the creek with the trees and wildflowers. I also liked the in room fireplace! The staff are all very friendly! And my husband loved riding the bikes around campus.

The parking lot is hard to navigate when it is full. I felt the room was clean, but it needed a bit of deep cleaning. For example the door to the bathroom was dirty and so were some of the bathroom walls. I loved having the wood floors, but make sure the dust bunnies and wrappers from other guests are fully swept from under the bed.

Love the renovation/refresh from the dated look of the former hotel, comfortable bedding, and wonderful Aesop amenities. Having the breakfasts delivered to the room was great. However, the coffee and scones were of mediocre quality and we wish there was an option to request fresh milk/cream for the coffee. Loved that they had bikes but we didn't have time to take them out for a spin.

Due to the lowest level location of our room (of the property and the building we were in), it did smell quite musty each time we walked in. We did "get used" to the smell so it didn't keep us awake at night- and we kept the bathroom window open for some airflow. But it was very overpowering upon entering each time.

The employees are all wonderful, the rooms are clean and well decorated, and the bed is so comfortable! It is a 15 to 20 minute walk downtown, so away from the noise but close enough to get there on foot.

It is such a nice treat to have coffee and scones delivered each morning. However, when staying multiple nights, it would be nice if the baked goods were switched up a bit.

Breakfast scones and coffee were nice in the morning. The location was great. Parking right in front of our room. Front desk was responsive. Housekeeping supervisor responsive. Bathroom was nice size. In room tea kettle with tea bags was nice.

A laundry bag (plastic ones) would have been helpful to have. The refrigerator wasn't cold enough to keep drinks or food cold. I had to call housekeeping to clean the shower (mildew) and towels (some were missing). I also had to call front desk to clarify charges that showed up on my account.
