Great customer service and check-in experience. All staff members were very helpful and nice to us. The room we stayed at was clean and confortable. I did not expect it, but we had a beautiful view of the mountain! Products offered, such as shampoo and soap, were of great quality. The hotel overall has a great decoration, is very clean and confortable.

We did not try the restaurant inside the hotel. It did not have bad reviews, but was also not the most recommended option. We didn't find many walking distance options of restaurants and cafes around the property, but by car we found great places that were close to it.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and helped us secure our bags in the office since we arrived a while before check-in time. The pool was nice, the location is good and not too far from town center so we were able to walk back and forth. (We like to walk, so not everyone may feel the same). Room was clean and beds were comfy.

Wish there were chargers for electric vehicles in parking lot.

I really liked our room, it had such a cool vibe with all the surfing photos lining the wall as well as the ceiling. But, I will say, my favorite thing about the hotel, to me, was the shower. I gotta have high water pressure and I felt like I was being sprayed down by a fire hose.

The pool closed too early and the jets on the hot tub didn't work. Also, Leroy's, the attached restaurant and bar closes at 10pm! I mean come on it's a bar haha. Just wish it stayed up later. All in all my dislikes were very minor and honestly not really an issue but I had to write something...

Cute hotel-retro vibe and extras like games and fun lobby elevate it from a boring motel. Nice pool and hot tub, everything very clean. Staff were super firendly and helpful! Very convenient to Cal Poly. Excellent pancakes!

No grab and go food. Small breakfast menu. Location is a bit far from downtown, so no convenient walking dining options

Loved the location - close to Cal Poly and downtown and an easy walk to restaurants, shops, etc. Also very convenient to the freeway so getting to wineries, the beach and hiking was very easy. The decor was fun, with local pictures of surfing, the beach and other scenery making the room feel vibrant. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was a little small but worked fine for two people.

Excellent communication with reception staff from the moment we booked the room. Clean and modern room as well as restroom. Dinner and breakfast at Leroy's were superb. We will definitely book here again when visiting SLO.

Our room was right by the vending and ice machine and it is loud whenever someone is getting ice.

I liked the location and convenience of visiting my daughter at Cal Poly. It was a very nice hotel and exactly like the pictures depict it--no surprises. When we checked in, they told us where to park that would make it convenient to get to our room.

What I love about hotels is leaving for breakfast and a walk and coming back to a made bed and clean room. Unfortunately, this hotel does not offer housekeeping unless requested.

This is our 3rd time staying at The Kinney. I love the feel and environment this place gives. We always feel at home and comfortable even during these COVID times.
