Hotel Milo Santa Barbara

Our stay at the hotel Mil was absolutely wonderful. Our rooms had two Queen size beds. Lots of room area to walk around a lovely little dressing area with excellent lighting to do your make up and bathroom with the usual facilities. It was all extremely clean and we had a lovely coffee machine with complimentary coffee and milk, plus a safe to look up valuables. The betting was beautiful and soft and the bed was super comfy and after a day cycling around Santa Barbara, using the hotels complimentary bicycles, you drifted off to sleep straight away. The hotel also used the l’ocittaine hair and body wash products ! The staff went above and beyond our expectations, so friendly, so helpful, always finding solutions to any problems that we had, they really were very impressive. There are lovely little seating areas that you can find around the hotel a nice quiet little corner to read your book or take a complimentary tea or Coffee and watch the beautiful butterflies dancing around the wonderful sculptured gardens or just sit and watch the world go by. That’s a hotel has an adequate gym and two different pool areas to utilise which are beautifully maintained and complimentary towels offered and also plenty of sunshades around the pool area and also beautiful little cabanas for the whole family to occupy. The hotel is in a perfect location directly opposite Santa Barbara beach with just a short walk to State Street which has lots of restaurants and shops for you to browse in. There’s plenty of Ubers to take you places directly from The Milo Hotel. If you had your own car there was plenty of street parking and parking at the hotel. Next time I’m in Santa Barbara I’m definitely booking into The Mili Hotel Nikki Western Australia

Although there were plenty of restaurants close by to have meals at, I would like to have been able to have breakfast at the hotel. My sister loves the gym life so was really pleased to see the hotel had a gym, just one or two pieces of the equipment wasn’t working. We told the staff who said they would get it looked at.

We really loved the location of the hotel, it was ideal for beach days and walking to local places for food and activities.

I have stayed here before and loved the room I was in the first time, I had requested to be near that again but it was not available so we were put in the back building up a hand full of stairs and the room was just no where near as nice as the other buildings. Also the trash trucks came two days out of the three we were there and were extremely loud which for the price is pretty disappointing. I had tried to ask the front desk if we could move when I had checked in and they were very short with there being nothing else open. It just overall felt like we got shoved into a back building room that is not advertised on the website as even a possibility.

Hotel Milo is in a great location to all amenities, where you can walk to the down town State Street, the wharf and beach. Our room was very comfortable and clean. (Our bed was exceptionally comfortable!) We loved the free bikes (apps 2 hours use) upon which you could explore the bike paths along the beach front and further into town. As you would expect demand is high. Hotel staff were also very friendly. Overall this hotel is in a great location, very pretty and has a nice boutique feel without being pretentious.

In our mind if they had a small coffee / drinks bar would have been perfect, especially for the evenings. It would encourage residents to stay longer around the outside fire's and comfortable seating area.

We came to Santa Barbara for our niece’s graduation and chose Hotel Milo for its location, within walking distance of the beach, the pier and the fantastic downtown Santa Barbara “Funk Zone”. What we found when we got to Hotel Milo was much, much more: A quiet location, Cozy rooms, comfortable beds, beautiful Flower-draped terracotta patios and several outdoor intimate gathering spots with cushioned settees around raised fire pits where we could sit with family and friends as if we were entertaining them in our own home. The valet parking was a plus. Not only because we could leave our car safely for our 4-day stay, but also for the amazing, friendly, efficient Valet Parking staff themselves! Not only did they take care of our vehicle, but they were all such a great resource, offering tips and suggestions as to where to find the best restaurants and attractions from breakfast spots to breweries ! I’ve worked in the service and travel industry all my life and I would like to give Kudos to the management of Hotel Milo for creating such a great atmosphere by treating their staff with respect and giving them the freedom to focus on the guest experience without having to “check with management” for every decision. Our stay at Hotel Milo was right up there with past stays at Luxury Hotels like the Ritz Carlton. We will definitely chose this location from now on, every time we visit Santa Barbara!

The location was phenomenal-right on the beach/harbor, steps away from incredible restaurants and shopping. Two pools and one hot tub on the property so our kids enjoyed a relaxing night swim before bedtime. Our stay included free bike rental, so we took a ride on the bike path along the beach in the morning-spectacular. Some reviews complained about outdated or old bathrooms- ours looked freshly remodeled, it was sparkling clean and updated.

The rooms are a little small but that was fine with us. There was a small upcharge to valet our car- there’s no parking on the premises. But the valet is super quick and available 24/7 so that was fine.

The location is great! The beach is literally across the street, the Wharf and restaurants are easily walkable. There are several seating areas with fire pits to relax around in the evening, and enjoy the beach views. The hotel lobby has bottles of wine, other beverages, snacks and s’mores available for purchase as well, which was convenient and fun while enjoying our time around the fire pits. Additionally, beach chairs and beach cruiser bikes were also complimentary during our stay. We enjoyed the pool too! Pool towels and float mats were provided at the pool, which we really enjoyed! So many amenities and such a great location!

The parking. If you want to park at the hotel, you must valet park for $30 per night. Otherwise you have to park on the street. Which is inconvenient, and a parking spot is hard to find on the busy street by the beach.

The hotel is well maintained. It is in an excellent location. It is a dog friendly hotel which was an awesome surprise. Lots of cute pooches running around. While we were there we didn't see a single dog act up. Staff are super responsive and relaxed. It seems the owners are not over working and understaffing which I appreciate. The location is prime. Like a mathematician chose the optimal walking distance to all Santa Barbara has to offer. The pool area was clean, well maintained, and relaxing.

The room was a little bare. The bed was super clean and super comfy. But then it was just an average sink and shower and bathroom combo. Clean just lacked that wow factor. All amenities were provided though. Like toiletries, shampoos, the room had a fridge for drinks. Also the bed was dope. Which a comfy bed, in a clean room is kind of all that matters.

The location of the hotel is amazing and it just looks stunning when you arrive. The rooms are quite basic for the price we paid, however the bed was really comfortable. We know the price is reflective of the great area and hotel facilities. The valet guys were exceptionally accommodating and couldn’t do more to help - special shoutout to the guys working hard! We also liked being able to use the hot tub after a long day of travelling!

The shower screen was a bit strange as half of it seemed like it was missing. The bar of soap in the bathroom area also felt quite wasteful for just one night’s usage - liquid soap would probably go much further!

My second room was exactly as I had expected and had seen in the photographs. If you like the ocean the location is absolutely the best in SB. The pools are a bit dated but very pleasant and clean and the cabanas are free. The garden are beautiful with so many great out door seating areas. One of the best aspects are all the tables with the fire component and comfortable seating. I would always stay here when in Santa Barbara

I think it was an accident but the first night they put me in a second story room, down a dark walk way and up about 12 of the steepest steps imaginable. I had to find someone to carry my carry-on bag up the stairs. I had actually requested first floor only but had forgot since I book 5 months ago. It was possibly the smallest, darkest, most dismal room I have EVER stayed in facing a concrete wall and another room and little or no natural light. Rm 243 I think. I checked out the next morning into the lovely room that I had expected for the next 3 night.

The location is perfect. Within walking distance to everything and with such beautiful views. We saw great sunrises & sunsets from our bed. The bed was super delicious and they even brought up a crib for out baby. The seals were so close that we could hear them at 4am!!

There is a charge of $30 per day for parking. and not only is it a hassle to go in and out, but if you forget something the valet has to go to get your car again?? The other issue I had was with the “no elevator” issue. How can you not have an elevator and then be stuck carrying everything upstairs and then back down. or having to pay the valet to do it?? Also, the wood floors were very dirty. When walking barefoot our feet turned black from the dirtiness of the floor. Not ideal with a 1 year old.
