The location and proximity to State Street and West Beach was GREAT! The decor was very eclectic -not for everyone, but we liked it. The property has a fascinating history which makes it even better.

Parking lot was tiny so we had to park on the street most of the time (unless we got lucky). There's no air conditioning. I'm sure this isn't a problem most of the year, but we were there in July-so it was a little uncomfortable. We slept with the back door open to the courtyard for fresh air. Everything was clean in the room, but the old building lacked enough electrical outlets to accommodate all our phones and other electronics. The rest of the property had areas of cobwebs and dust. It adds to the character I suppose.

I was worried this would be a dive based on some of the reviews, but it’s definitely not. The location is literally a block away from the beach and the building is beautiful, old Spanish style with balconies. The room was clean with all of the amenities one would expect and the gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We were only there for one night but would stay here again.

We were lucky enough to find street parking right by the property on a Saturday night, but I can see it being a challenge as the actual parking lot is very small. And if you’re wanting a corporate hotel vibe where everything is beige and looks the same this place is not for you, but we loved the authentic, quirky ambiance.

Location, Location, Location. The beach, the wharf and State St. All walking distance. I also liked that although we went on a holiday weekend, it got pretty quiet by midnight. I was worried because there were hotels with clubs nearby. They were thumping the music real loud. But it all calmed down. All in all our family had a great time! We'll be back!

Parking. Might've been the busy weekend. No AC, but it gets comfortable in the evening. Also, I kinda booked because there were great reviews about breakfast. But again, might've been the holiday weekend because my husband spoke to staff and they said they mightve been overwhelmed. Small balcony with lotsa spider webs. It's ok though, didn't spend much time out there.

We liked the quaintness of the Inn and the nice balcony with a partial view of the ocean. We liked the location being so close to the Wharf and a short walk to State Street. The staff was friendly and courteous.

We did not like the homeless being along the Wharf and bothering us with questions and asking for money. There were two men who were actually intimidating and when we told them we did not have any money on us, they asked what kind of car we drove! I know this is not your fault but I wish this issue could be brought to the attention of the City Counsel. Also, the continental breakfast was a little sparse but I enjoyed my bagel and coffee.

Had a great 3 day stay at Tidal Pools (across the street n owned by Villa Rosa Inn). The one bedroom Deluxe King Suite with 3 queen beds and full kitchen was very comfortable for 3 adults. Ideal location with onsite parking, 1/2 block from the beach and within walking distance to many interesting sites and restaurants. Furnishings could use a little refreshing but the beds were quite comfortable. Kitchen utensils and ware need completing, but all appliances were in working order. Melody was very accommodating to our needs and making sure we were comfortable. No bells and whistles here, but very comfortable and just what we wanted. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Melody and Marcus.

This is a charming Spanish property located only a short walk from Sterns wharf. We stayed in room 15 with a huge 4 poster bed and a charming balcony overlooking the pool area. Small issue with overgrown vines making it difficult to sit on the balcony. Bed is very firm and pillows were very thick (and uncomfortable for me). The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast diy waffles were yummy.

Lack of parking. We got the last spot on our first day. Had to park in another property on the second day.

Location is great. The place itself is beautiful.

Parking is a hassle, if youre not lucky your stuck parking in the street which has a 90 min limit. I waited 3hrs for a parking spot in their parking lot.

The location was very good across the road was the beach and pier. Down one to two streets and you had all the shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and happy hour.

The breakfast room was a little small , I feel the space there could have been used better. The price for the room for the first night with booking.com was cheaper than the 2nd and 3rd nights. The manager told me that he did a better rate but unfortunately my bank statement did not sure this on my return home.

I like the cozy home feeling and all of the antique furniture and other accoutrements throughout. It is like walking into a victorian museum. My room is by far one of the best rooms in the house (I'm guessing). I had a beautiful King sized bed with another spare twin sized bed if needed and a fluffy chaise lounge. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator and was stocked with everything needed. The location is perfectly situated, walking distance from the beach where I had a nice view. From the other side of my room, I was overlooking the beautiful pool area. The staff person is kind and accommodating. I will be back.

There seemed to be a shortage of staff. The one person checking people in made for a tedious wait if you booked online, but she was nice and patient. Because it is an old building, there aren't the modern conveniences of USB electrical ports everywhere for your devices, but the front desk will loan you a usb extension cord. I'm a red wine drinker and they were out of Red...so that was a bummer. I woulda made a liquor store run for them since the cause seemed to be the limited staff.
