Where to start.. the decor is delightful, french inspired, gorgeous chandeliers and art. The whisky room is fabulous and great choices in whisky (wish they had brandy or amaretto though). Comfortable bed, relaxing tub in the room! Piped in french music was a delight. Surprising details like a story book in the night stand, and a journal you can share your experience in the room. It was so fun to read. The town is charming and surrounding towns too. The wine tasting passport you receive was a wonderful perk, who doesn't like complimentary tastings? They waive the fee at a lot of great wineries. The grounds are lovely and relaxing (the weather was really hot so we didn't spend to much time outside). The wine happy hour was great with snacks. They have dessert happy hour as well. Breakfast was delicious and coffee was great. We needed coffee a little early due to a hot air balloon ride in the morning and they made us coffee earlier than normal :) service is amazing and everyone was so nice. We would definitely stay again

Our coffee maker in the room didn't work, they didn't swap it out. The robes are too small, the tile on the tub surface floor is pretty slippery, same with in the bathroom. The charger for phone didn't work (not too big of deal we had one). The curtain one was missing the pull chain. No fan in the bathroom. Only two bath towels. umm I'm really nit picking now :) it all was pretty wonderful.

The hotel itself was beautiful inside and out. The rooms were so much larger than expected and included a fire place and an outdoor patio with a waterfall. The decor was high end and the staff was wonderful. The amenities including the breakfast, wine tasting and dessert was all wonderful

We were unimpressed with the Viktor Restaurant on property. High prices and food and service did not meet expectations

Stayed there well over thirty years.

Don’t like the name change and some parking stalls are to close to each other. And I don’t understand how booking.com is cheaper then your rates. Makes know sense. And you wouldn’t match there rate. That’s flat crazy.

The entire stay was very, very nice. the Gentleman serving us in the dining area was extra pleasant to meet.

The rooms were clean and the little patio outside was was great. The cooked breakfast was good quality. The continental buffet was quite low quality especially surprising as there are so may great bakeries close by. Lovely gardens and fire pits.

I upgraded my room at booking .com when I was given the option a few days before the trip. The hotel did not honor this upgrade as they were fully booked. The front desk staff and the dining staff were not as friendly as expected. It could be that we were a slightly louder group than the rest of the guests but this gave us a poor start and end to our stay. The bathroom slider door would not slide so we could not open/close fully and there was no extra loo paper in our bathroom (they did not charge us the amenities fee for this which we appreciated :))
