We love how easy it was to book the hotel, and how the page show up-front the price of the room, percentages of taxes that would be added to book the room. Everything was transparent and upfront, unlike other hotels showed their prices so cheap, made us happy that we found the best rate, but when we proceeded to book it the price went up so high. Other hotels are not upfront with their rates. We appreciate a great deal that you provide complimentary breakfast, we love it. Thank you, Holiday Express Inn!

We had a water view. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Also loved all the Dove products….shampoo, conditioner, and body wash built on the side of the shower. So much better than those little tubes most hotels hand out. Breakfast had a nice wide variety of options. I think they had pretty much anything you could think of for breakfast. Including many hot items. They have 24hr hot cocoa, tea and I believe coffee. They have ice machines on-site, however, they also have complimentary half bags of ice in the market area. I feel they have really gone above and beyond thinking of everything a customer may need to have a fabulous stay. would recommend 10 out of 10. Will be returning next time we are visiting. :)

We absolutely loved the location. We were given a room on the 5th floor and we had a fabulous view of the small lake behind the hotel. It was nice to step out on the balcony and watch the wildlife. We also loved that the window was floor to ceiling.

The room we were in wasn't as spacious as we had hoped. The closet was too small to keep any of our suitcases in and there was barely enough room to walk between the desk and the beds.

I liked the location. We were there to go to the Aquarium and I found that the location was very good. Not too far. The drive was not that long. It was also a short drive from stores like Target.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable. Granted, I chose a room with two Full-size beds, but I didn't see a room with Queen size beds. We felt we would slide off the bed. Also, having another elevator would have been good.

Great location! Some noise from the busy road but expected. Decent size room with 2 queen size beds. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash was provided and was brand Dove which was great. Breakfast had a great choice of Cinnamon buns (warm), pancakes, toast, bacon, omelettes etc. Coffee wasn't great really, was quite sweet using the coffee mate milk powder. I would rather use fresh milk. Recommend the Aquarium in Monterey and the 17 Mile Drive for amazing beaches to visit. Also Carmel by the sea is about 20minutes away, we did the 17 Mile Drive to get there and take in the views. Bonus, In & Out burger next door! McDonald's and Starbucks down the road.

Air-conditioning was really quite noisy, so had to turn that off in the night to get some shut eye but it got quite warm, so ended up waking up again to turn it on.

Staff was accommodating and friendly, check in was a breeze with lots of helpful tips! Breakfast was a hit with our party, great selection and delicious. Greatly appreciated last minute request for nearby rooms which hotel and staff came through and provided. Bathrooms are stocked with big sized shampoo and body wash so no need for constant requests of the "sample" sizes.

One of our phones didn't work in the room, and the other was an adjoining room, which would have been wonderful if our party was on the other side, but it was not meant to be so I was slightly paranoid throughout the night. Neighbors voice seemed extra loud due to this.

it is located in a quiet area. You can hear the geese in the pond near the hotel.

there was a faint beep in the room all night. sounded like it was in the room next door but there was no room next to us. also, the toilet gurgled a lot, maybe when other rooms flushed . enough to make water to splash out onto the ground. Luckily it didn’t happen while using it.

the bathroom was not clean. No bottle water in the room. not enough towel for 4 people. The front desk representative was trying to give the towels when we checked in, which was inappropriate since we were carrying our baggage.

We loved the location. It was so close to everything, from all the food hot spots, the local CVS stores, to the beach and everything else Monterey had to offer!

I honestly don’t have any complaints. The property was comfortable and more than what I would expect from a Holiday Inn!

we had double beds. i and my 8 month old baby was in one and my spouse and 7 year old was in the other very comfortable beds but every time my spouse turned in bed in his sleep it would make this loud creek noise and would wake me up. the bed i slept in was fine no noise.
