Check in/out process was super easy. The room was clean and had a microwave, mini fridge, and Keurig machine that were well maintained. The location was fantastic. My husband and I came to Lake Tahoe as a last minute trip without really planning what to do. Alder Inn was such an easy location to walk to the beach, food, and coffee shops. Management was very accommodating and gave us a number to contact in case we had any questions or concerns.

The room was warm on arrival, which was a lovely surprise. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We booked last minute but were still able to access the room easily after being sent a room code. The area is quiet but still close to some lovely restaurants within walking distance. Overall, it was fabulous value for money.

We couldn't get the TV to turn on to any channels. Someone wasn't available at reception, but they could be reached by phone and text easily.

I could not find a parking spot when I came back at the end of the day, so I parallel parked across from the Swimming pool. I was a bit concerned if that was or was not permitted. I would stay here again. It was nice and quiet.

Just the room was pretty warm, Also not finding a parking spot was a concern.

The location was excellent and the staff were all great. I like the outside games, and the bed is very comfortable. The fire tables with chairs are a very nice touch too. The staff is very friendly and approachable. The property is close to the lake and to the casinos and restaurants.

No A/C, no daily room service, and the pool and hot tub were not in service.

It's a small place with not that many rooms so it wasn't crowded , the room was spacious, the spa and pool were heated and felt awesome, they even use Bath & Body lotions, shampoo and conditioner! Walking distance to some restaurants, about 5 min or so drive to casinos, great value for what we paid and I appreciate the fees for property and so forth were not outrageous. Would definitely stay there again.

I really really thought we would find something wrong but there wasn't lol...maybe a sheer curtain needed for the drapes which was no big deal.

The property is beautiful. There are fire pits, outdoor games to play, sitting areas. Room was clean and tv had many options to watch. The location is perfect.

The only thing I can say negative is there is no a/c. Even with the fans on the room was warm.

The Alder Inn was such a cute place to stay! It was in a great location in South Tahoe that made it easy to access everything that I wanted to do while there. It was also within walking distance to restaurants and shopping! The Alder Inn definitely provided the more rustic experience that I wanted to have while staying in Tahoe (I didn't want to stay at a hotel/casino). It was clean, the staff was friendly, and it felt super homey! I would for sure recommend this place to friends and I would absolutely stay there again!

I stayed in the summer, and there is no air conditioning- but I believe it's the same no matter where you stay. As long as you know that going in, then it's fine!

Very clean property. Beautifully decorated rooms. The coffee bar setup was great. Loved the pincode locks on the doors (so much so that we're planning on doing them back at home) and not having to have a key or card. Very easy, fast check in and check out.

The shower head was completely fixed and unable to moved at all. We were one of maybe 4 rooms occupied both nights and found it odd the hotel would put us all next to/above each other when they have many other rooms available. Downstairs rooms hear EVERYTHING from the rooms above.

We travelled with a 2 & 4 year old so a swimming pool was a must for me. I called several properties around the area and this hotel was one of the few that had an open HEATED swimming pool PLUS a hot tub! We were the only ones in the pool for the 2 days we stayed and it was wonderful. The hotel also has some fire pits, small barbecue area and a patio depending on where your room is located. I arrived around 9pm to check in and panicked that the office was closed. I then saw a mailbox labeled late check ins outside the front office and all of the info needed for my stay was there in an envelope. I didn’t realize that they had left me a text message stating everything I needed to know around 7pm. Overall, I felt I got the best bang for my buck at this hotel. We will definitely be coming back.

A suggestion of mine would be to have someone clean the pool more frequently. Also, the Keurig machine wasn’t working in our room but this didn’t bother us or else we would’ve said something.

Great location near the lake and shopping. The property was great for us as a family to be outside having some fun with the games that are on the property.
