We visited Americana regularly in the early 2000's, but this was our first trip back to Tahoe since 2007. Nothing had changed. Every aspect of the Americana was still excellent. Even the popcorn and the breakfast donuts were still wonderful. But the essence of the Americana's unique appeal is still its warm, casual, convivial atmosphere. The staff goes out of the way to help you, just as was the case back in 2007.

Nothing at the Americana could have been better. The only negative goes to Heavenly for jacking its lift tickets up to an obscene $185 a day. We blew off Heavenly and went to Sierra.

Good place to stay while visiting Tahoe. Pretty big, warm and comfortable room with a lot of useful kitchen appliances. Spacious parking lot, there shouldn't be a problem with parking. Very friendly staff and smooth check-in/check-out process.

Breakfast was pretty average, during our stay there were only donuts, banana muffins, bananas and boiled eggs. Front door is not very soundproof, you will hear everything if somebody decides to have a conversation close to your room.

Room was Impeccable. Five stars for cleaning. Location was closer to many of the things we wanted to do. Hot tub was a nice surprise :)

Wish the breakfast eggs were warm and not cold. And the power outlets were located in inconvenient spots. Minor things. I guess when everything is so good, u find weird things

The staff was friendly and they had fun activities! We has smores on Saturday night, so fun! The room was a good size and the kitchenette was great. Bathroom was also really nice. Continental breakfast was good. Had a small area to play in the snow. They had dvds, books and games to borrow which was great!

The sofa bed was an air mattress, which wasn't horrible but not what I was expecting. The room we were in must have been cooked in earlier that day because when we got there it still smelled of spices.

The breakfast was a nice. It was quick for grabbing a fast bite before heading out for activities. It offered good options from sweet donuts to healthier options, like toast, boiled eggs, and oatmeal. We asked to have our friends stay in the room next to us and it turned out to be a room that had the option of adjoining with ours via shared doors. The small kitchen offered a lot so we had a generously sized small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and dishes, glassware and utensils. There are picnic tables located throughout the grounds and a bbq in the pool area. Pool toys are provided, as are a nice selection of board games.

There is no a/c and it was a warm weekend. We were actually able to stay comfortable due to the large amount of fans provided (ceiling fans, and plug-in fans). The hot tub was nice but a little small.

When in Tahoe, which is at least once a yr. I always stay at Americana Village, there is always some fun activity to do if you plan on spending the day there. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms have no air conditioning ,but fans are provided in your room in case you need one.we were welcomed with tasty cookies which was a plus and there is always free popcorn in main office. The pool is nice and quite busy at times, but plenty of room to sit at nearby tables and watch the kids or just to enjoy the sun.I highly recommend astay there.

No air conditioning, only complaint.

Great location to walk into town where lots of restaurant and shopping. Clean hot tub and pool area. Suana also used for sore muscles.

Breakfast is not very good. Many unhealthy donuts which seems strnage to offer to people about to go skiing all day and but no healthier options like banana bread or breakfast muffins. Bananas and oranges were offered with just 2 types of bread for toasting. No meat or cheese. Just peNut butter, jam and honey. But rooms have kitchenettes so next time we know to bring some cereal and more fresh fruit.

The people working at the desk were super friendly and accommodating to our requests to upgrade the room, explain the booking process, and help us when we had noisy neighbors.

Thin walls and thin floors. We were on the bottom floor, and heard the upstairs neighbors stomping around from 1-3am. we could not sleep, but they were open to letting us switch rooms :)

I would any family recommend to stay here! Rooms were amazingly comfortable, clean! Mini-kitchen was a great help! Pop corn, DVDs and warm pool was helpful when it was raining. We had a great family time. For this money on Christmas Eve it’s a present!

Staff in the kitchen and some at the Front desk didn’t seem really friendly. Front desk didn’t pick up the phone at 8.50 pm thought their working hours till 9 pm. My husband had to walk there and the girl was sitting at the front desk and not picking the phone up… Kitchen girls could have smile sometimes. Though dinners were great, really homemade food!

We had to leave early, so we didn’t get to try the breakfast

The place was really nice, but there was no air conditioning. I guess they usually don’t need it, but it was hot while we were there. There was a fan in the living room area and another in the cupboard for the bedroom area. Their windows also open and they had a screen for the door, but sleeping was the problem, and a bear went through at night and got into the trash, so I don’t recommend leaving your door open!
