The hotel/motel was nice for the price. The room was clean, beds comfortable and it was nice and quiet. The cafe, however, was awful. We were there during a rush that the cooks were unable to handle. We waited a good 45 minutes for our food, people were leaving without being served. My eggs were over cooked and bacon and potatoes were burnt. To make everything worse one of the servers was screaming she quit. Then as she continued her job she loudly complained about the place in general as she slammed things about. Even if the food had been good, I could not have enjoyed it in that atmosphere.

The motel room was quiet comfy and in a good location.

Friendliest staff ever; great location; ice machine works well, which you 100% need in the summer! Cafe is fantastic as well. You really feel welcome here. I recommend room 6; it's small but a secluded room!

The RV park generates a lot of noise during the day, but that's not surprising considering that's a crowd that rarely cares about other travelers and has the "everyone else be damned attitude." Thankfully the noise from the obnoxious music stopped well before "quiet hours" at 10pm. That area was also littered with far too much pet poop and garbage. To be clear, the motel area was very clean.

Reception staff is stellar. Adjacent restraunt was convient and tastey. Other restraunt options within walking distance. Our 2 queen beds for the three of us was very good. Very comfortable beds & badroom was very clean. A very comfortable room.

Hotel has no control over othr guest behavior. Guest next door were late arriving and very loud until very late, and early to rise. Funny how some people just don't think about how what they do affects others. No bad in any way on Hi-Lo Motel & Cafe. I'll stay there again.

The location is gorgeous and easily accessible!! There is plenty of parking. The hotel is very cute and well kept. The beds are comfortable and the room had temperature control. The gentleman who checked us in was professional and very kind. He took the time to answer all our questions. The Hi-Lo Cafe is really good. The 4 of us had something different and all 4 plates were delicious. Save room for pie!!!! The home made pie takes it over the top!!! We will stay here again and again!

From the street, this motel looks like an old time kind of place...and it is. But it's a lot bigger than it looks, and while not updated or the least bit fancy, it is affordable, clean and comfortable. Strong wifi signal. There's a place to walk the dog and no upcharge for having a pet. The attached cafe has good food, and the service is very good. It snowed overnight and a staff was outside shoveling off the sidewalks first thing in the morning. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Not enough outlets in the room to plug in things needing a charge. Pretty small bathroom (although serviceable).

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The property has an adjoining cafe which serves a decent breakfast. Coffee was included if you stay in the motel. The room was a good size. Although we were just passing through on this trip, the surrounding area is beautiful and would be worth spending more time to look around. This would be a suitable motel to stay for a few days.

Parking lot wasn't completely shoveled/plowed and we had to park on snow and ice. Not too inconvenient for us, but maybe for others with mobility issues.

Ample clean room with good beds, cable and flat screen TV. It's not a new place but has been well taken care of. The restaurant is right next door and serves good family cooked meals that are filling. This has been a family run business for seventy-five years and they have done it right. Weed has seen better days and like many small towns jobs are hard to come by. It's still a nice stop on I-5 for some good food or a nights stay with friendly people.

Nothing I felt like I needed.

The staff was superb. Welcoming, helpful and great to talk with. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the attached restaurant was wonderful...the menu looks like a newspaper with some history about Weed on the front and back. It is a 3rd generation family run operation. The "Weed" themed items available in the check in area are clever and well made.

Not much, the shower head didn't spread the water spray quite as much as it could have but all in all I would recommend a stay if you are looking around northern CA.

It was a wonderful liittle room and was so happy to get it since it was late in the day and there was a snow storm.

Just one little thing. When I went to sleep, I noticed a plastic tag on the pillow under the cover. In the morning, I looked and it was one of those security tags on the corner of both pillows. Did they thing I was going to take the pillow or did someone take this pillow from the store before they removed the tag? Rather odd.

Honestly I had very low expectations but this motel totally exceed my expectations. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was sanitized and the shower was clean. We booked also for our way back and the room we got was even better than the first one, included fridge and plenty of room to fit our dog's crate. Pet areas are clean and pleasant. Staff was great and we also got complimentary coffee on our arrival! We are definitely considering this location again for our next travels

Location is not the best... a few shady people around but it's very close to the Hwy. There are few dining options around. They have a diner too but we didn't try it this time.
