Shasta Inn

The room decor was very pleasant, the location was great, and multiple Tesla chargers was an unexpected bonus to charge up over night! it was pretty quiet and the surrounding trees made it feel like we were in far Northern California (which it is!).

Felt like it could’ve been slightly cleaner (found a plastic tooth flossing device on the floor just under the edge of the bed). The tub was stained and scratched—maybe not much to be done about that, but it detracted from the feel of the place.

Size of the room, high-quality towels, bathroom appointments, comfortable bed, a work area with high intensity lighting, which is becoming almost impossible to find. Location is excellent, with many restaurants, etc. within walking distance. The attached restaurant, Harvest, is the best around -- unique dishes and a beautiful interior.

Free bagged continental breakfast was minimal, to say the least. The water was the only thing I really enjoyed. It would help to have at least one comfortable chair in the main room. The two stools in the work area were functional but not good for watching TV, relaxing, or putting one's shoes on.

We loved the pine trees surrounding the property. We liked the room upgrades and pine decor . The beds were comfortable.

The tub was not cleaned properly. There was hair on the back of the tub and on the floor.

Really enjoyed most of the experience at the Shasta Inn. Quiet and far enough from the main road to keep traffic noise at bay. Loved the mature oak trees and the sound of chirping birds among the branches.

The lack of a table and two standard chairs was a disappointment in trying to enjoy a meal or read. Lighting was weird with a harsh lightbulb at the wall table with bar stools. That's really the only spot for laptop computer placement. There was a table with two chairs outside, but in the morning and evening it was too chilly to sit there comfortably to read or eat. For seniors a standard chair is also helpful for sitting to put on shoes, etc.

convenient and cute. Very nice restaurant on site. The room included a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave.

Great location with good choice of restaurants. We ate at Lillys and it was great food. Just next to the hotel.

Nice quiet location with a few restaurants in walking distance, one of them a great breakfast café and bakery. Very close to the road to Mt. Shasta if that's part of your plans. The lodge and restaurant on site are very nice with a good choice of entrées and drinks, plenty of seating outside in the summer. Bagged breakfast was very generous and convenient. Comfortable beds with nice bedding.

While rooms were clean in general, there were some things that could've been better. One of our rooms had a very strong smell in it (a cleaner or something previous guests used), the other looked like it hasn't been used in a while - a layer of dust and dead bugs on a bathroom windowsill, and sand and dirt on the bathroom floor, no towels at all. I wish they would check the rooms if they haven't been cleaned in the last few days.

i liked how it was close to thew ramps for sledding and to the ski resort in Mount Shasta. It felt super cozy in the room and when it got cold we could heat up the room very fast. We were also able to get a larger room than what we would have gotten which was very nice to have.

there wasn't anything entirely bad. When I finished taking a shower i grabbed one of the towels and their was hair on it. When we were finishing up our stay and packing up, my girlfriend found a cockroach in crawling on her sock(that could have just been from the food that we had everywhere).

it is very quaint and charming. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The room was designed nicely and had a nice personal touch. Our room had a nautical feel to it which I loved.

it could use a little update on the facilities. the doors could use some weather proofing to prevent drafts to come in which will also help with energy consumption on their ac units. the ac units could be updated as well with more quiet and energy efficient models. Other than that, everything else was quiet wonderful.

Very friendly staff. The restaurant on site, Harvest is excellent. We had an amazingly tasty dinner cooked by an actual chef. Bed was plenty comfortable. I feel bad putting any negatives down bc the staff was so pleasant... But...

The room was small, bathroom very small. The cost was a bit high for the room. The TV had like 4 lousy channels, no smart TV options, and was a poor picture quality. Like rabbit ears type picture. Gotta bring your own entertainment for this spot.
