Matterhorn Inn Ouray

We enjoyed the breakfast. It was different experience from hotel/motels. Was not expecting for the breakfast to be waiting for us in the room fridge. The location was perfect. Just off of the main street. It worked out very well for us.

The only negatives I would give is that the room doors squeaked. I was awaken several times during the first night by the door of the room next to us as they were in and out several times and I could hear everytime the door opened and closed. Also, when we departed in the morning, roughly around 9:30, there was not any coffee in the motel lobby. Although we appreciated having coffee in the room, that coffee is pretty weak and we wanted something a bit stronger and more than 1 cup. I think 9:30 is a bit early not to have any available for the guests.

The front desk was friendly and very helpful when pointing out places to eat, drink, and cool things to go see. Everything is within walking distance. There is a communal fire pit to sit around and talk, plus a hot tub if you like. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds. You also get a free breakfast at Mi Mexican restaurant, and it is delicious.

There is nothing I didn't like.

Great location in town. Close to everything. Updated rooms and room amenities. Housekeeping staff was great.

There really was no breakfast aside from coffee and prepackaged danish/donuts. I was also disappointed with no real option for a late checkout. I asked for a noon instead of 10:30am checkout and was only offered 11am. For the amount of money I spent on a 5 day visit ($1400+), I would have expected a bit more latitude.

This was a wonderful hotel. Located in the center of town, we could walk everywhere. It was clean, shower/tub wonderful. Bed so comfy I didn’t want to leave it. Micro, fridge, coffee in room. View. Doesn’t matter where you are in Ouray, there’s a view. Quiet, except for some little kids running around. AC (we’re from Flagstaff, so was warm to us in the evening), and heater, if needed.

Nothing. It was great.

The first day breakfast that was there when I arrived in the room was really nice. I didn't have the breakfast on the second or third day. When I checked out, they had a few options in the office.

Maybe something with a little protein for the breakfast in the office. They had donuts, danish, and instant oatmeal, but maybe something less sugary would have been goo.

nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable rooms. good breakfast selection (which they gave you bagged the night before). they also had coffee and breakfast items in the lobby. the only thing I would change is the small table and chairs in the room. not enough room for that as they were squeezed literally between the wall and bed.

Everything was superbly clean. Staff was very nice and helpful with tips around town. Breakfast was left for visitors in their fridge and there were also sweet breakfast choices in the lobby. All were very good. Excellent location. Awesome deal in Ouray for price of the room!

I can’t think of a thing that I didn’t like. I can’t wait to return!!!

Breakfast was fair. All cold and in a sack. Location was good in Ouray - a vacation city in the mountains.

Room was very small. Only could seat one person at a time. After arising in the morning we could not stay comfortably in the room or work in the room because there was only one chair.

Hotel was very clean and convenient. Room was very comfortable. I like there is no carpet. Hard floors only👍🏻 Only “hiccup” was I was told a playpen would be available and it was not. Front desk was SUPER accommodating after hours. Opened the hot tub for us after 9 pm when it closed.

The room was very nice/clean. They thought of everything - even beach towels for the hot tub! Because of Covid, they weren't able to provide a communal breakfast. Instead, they gave us a breakfast bag - breakfast sandwich/yogurt/fruit. Coffee and juice were provided in the office area. We would certainly recommend this motel for anyone - we loved it!

I can't think of anything we didn't like...
