Hampton Inn Orlando-Maingate South

Everything about the hotel works. It is what it is, not in the 5* bracket of luxury but who in reality really needs that whilst visiting Orlando. Excellent breakfast, complimentary coffee & cold water available throughout the day. Ideal location for a base not only for central Orlando & access onto the interstates out to Miami a 4 hour 30 Mon drive & The Gulf Coast, Tampa & Clearwater an hour 30 Mon away. The hotel is blessed with a swimming pool & whirlpool, perfect for cooling off & a bit of sunbathing. The Hampton Inn also provides free parking which is a real bonus as parking fees elsewhere are certainly not cheap. The rooms are very clean, comfortable & spacious. The staff from the receptionists to the ladies who prepare breakfast are all very friendly & can't do enough for you. Within minutes of the hotel you'll find plenty of places to eat, such as Denny's, Burger King, McDonald's, Cracker Barrel & so on. Two petrol stations are close by which is a convenience.

In all honesty there was nothing not to like.

The staff was AMAZING! I loved my room. It had everything I needed. I enjoyed the decor, ambiance, microwave, refrigerator, couch to lounge, ottoman to rest my feet. The bed was comfortable. The warm cookies in the lobby and complimentary water bottle were a nice surprise and delight. When needed utensils and extra towels, the signage in the bathroom was very helpful and thoughtful to address those needs to help the housekeeping service. When I stopped by the front desk, they were so delightful with providing the items to me with no problem. I didn't feel the rooms were too noisy between guests, elevators didn't take long at all. Perfect location.

Only thing was limiting channels to watch TV to relax.

The property was very clean inside and out! smells very good as soon as you walk in . while I was waiting to check in the manager greeted me letting me know someone will be with me soon, front desk lady I had was soo friendly and welcoming !

some of the staff were rude . they don’t speak to you or say excuse me . some of the lady’s putting out breakfast were talking about some of the guest coming down late for breakfast. regardless if they came late or not these are your guest and it’s not professional to talk about them in the open .

The room was VERY clean and fresh. There was literally not a speck of dirt. The beds and comforters were VERY comfortable. I slept great! The bathroom was nice and the shower was amazing. The breakfast was great with a huge variety of food and beverages. The staff was very friendly and they take great care of the place. They even have a hot tub by the pool. There was ice makers on every floor and the place is pretty secure with needing a key to enter every door that enters building. 2 minutes away is a huge plaza with lots of options to shop and eat. Location was great! We were very happy with our stay and appreciate a nice place to sleep when traveling.

Only issue was USB outlets didn't work but we had ours own.

The property was nice, put together, central to many shopping areas, restaurants, and fun stuff to do within a very short drive. the beds were comfortable, rooms clean, breakfast was PHENOMENAL! The weekday gal that runs the breakfast show was incredible! I’m sad that I didn’t catch her name, but she did an outstanding job!

I didn’t see anyone clean the pool or hot tub, so we didn’t actually spend any time in either one. But the pool AREA is really peaceful and beautiful.

The best part of my hotel stay was the hotel staffers. They always greeted me with a smile while being amazingly friendly and quite helpful! It made my stay that much more enjoyable! I can’t say I met a single staffer who was less than great. Next, I enjoyed the room. I was glad to see it was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized from top to bottom. The included microwave and fridge wasn’t expected but was gladly appreciated. Wi-Fi was fast enough to do a video conference call on my work laptop without showing lag. I did pay the extra $5 for the faster Internet, thus, am unable to give an honest opinion on the free basic Internet speed. Location was another selling point. You’re only a few minute’s drive from quite a few shops and activities, yet just an intersection away from crossing over to I-4. They also had a delicious breakfast that was made with care. The cook was a very nice lady who brought fresh food out from the back to my plate upon my arrival and even took time to prepare my waffle when noticing I needed assistance using the machine.

Nothing in particular. The bed was comfy and allowed a good night’s rest. A minor complaint if any would be that I wish the mattress was a little softer and the pillows a bit fluffier to better assist my back and neck.

Breakfast was very good with hot and cold variety choices. Coffee was excellent. The room was spacious and modern looking as was the bathroom. Nice toiletry products. Staff was very helpful, courteous and pleasant. Later checkout is good.

There is only one wire storage compartment for clothes and no nightstand drawers. It seems like it might be accommodating business travelers.

We were on the fourth floor towards the end of the building. The room size was excellent, exceptionally clean and everything worked in the room! The hotel was very well maintained, and the staff were very friendly and courteous.

The king-sized bed was hard on the back. The bathtub base was slanted more than normal so taking a shower felt awkward and it was slippery. No mat was provided for inside the tub base. This was not good for a person with a balance issue.

It was very clean. It had beautiful interior design in the rooms. The lobby was very nice. I loved the breakfast area and the whole breakfast. The staff were very good. I enjoy the pool in the hot tub.

The bathtub was not working only the shower and the window shade mechanism was not working

Not too keen on dark wood furniture but that is purely subjective.
