Sand Castle Motel

We had a great stay! The room was spacious, beds comfortable, and staff very kind and helpful. Location was good and the views of the ocean were fantastic. A very nice budget friendly option. We would definitely consider another stay here!

Overall, the exterior of the property could use a little maintenance- but considering the recent hurricane it was understandable and did not negatively impact our stay. The kitchen is not very well stocked and we weren't really expecting it to be- we were however grateful for what was available and VERY happy to have the kitchen area.

The staff was hard working and very friendly. They kept the area clean. Our room was clean, freshly painted and the appliances were in perfect condition.

The exterior needs an overhaul and the beach access is not available, thanks to the hurricanes. Don’t let the looks of the exterior mislead you.

I was surprised that the room we stayed in had a view from both windows. There were two nice chairs with an ocean view outside of our door. I absolutely loved the room layout, it was huge. We used one bed to lay out our clothes and slept in the other. There were two recliners facing the large TV. A good size table was in the kitchenette. Despite some hurricane damage, the pool was still in good shape. The hotel has a really nice ocean facing deck area. Oh, the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in. It was firm, but not too firm.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay, nice and close to the ocean. There was no beach access or pool unfortunately due to the hurricanes. It was wonderful regardless. The room had full amenities including a full fridge and freezer and a full kitchen! The shower was amazing!!

We saw a little roach or two but, those are nearly impossible to get rid of in Florida! Otherwise it was perfect!

The motel was old but was kept very clean and bed was comfortable. you can’t beat it for the price. The staff was very friendly and efficient.

It would have been better if they had Wi-Fi and if they did, a password should have been given. There was no beach access at the time but it looks like there was work being done in back and pool was empty with no water. There’s also limited parking where only 1 car is allowed per room.

some facilities very worn out - especially shower tray area no kettle (those of us from UK need hot hot water for tea! only one mug very few plates and cutlery

They were very accommodating. Friendly staff, comfy bed, great shower. The kitchenette had things needed to cook our meals, and a nice size fridge. We will stay again.

We knew the pool was not in service. But they need to work on an access point to the beach. The public ramp wasn't far though. They are not the only ones with hurricane damage.

What made this stay exceptional was the staff. They made us feel welcome and we connected with them on many different levels thru a slew of our many conversations. From the time we checked in until the time we checked out, they made everything easy. They were all very friendly, made us laugh and was just so down to earth. Me and my bestie will definitely book with them again. Thanks Scott and the girls for a wonderful, relaxing vacay. You guys made it memorable!

Being on the second floor without an elevator, The stairs just about killed me carrying up all of our things.

This is a reasonably priced quiet motel located right on the beach. There was ample on-site parking. The motel staff was professional and courteous. Although my room was somewhat dated it was very well maintained and clean. In addition, my room contained a small kitchen that was well supplied with utensils and dishes. I would definitely stay at this motel again when in the Daytona Beach area.

the exterior of the place definitely needed a paint job . I expected the room be a little rough but it was .newly remodeled the TV wasn't loud enough . you could hear it if you were sitting right in front of it . but if you were back on the bed you really couldn't hear the thing
