Beachside Hotel - Daytona Beach

The location was great. The staff was wonderful, and the grab and go breakfast was the best I’ve had.

The things I didn’t like are things that could not be helped. A storm has came through and destroyed most of the hotels on the strips pool. There was no pool or beach access at the hotel. There is beach access just on the other side of the hotel next door and it was not a far walk.

The view of the ocean was amazing with the sun rising. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is very close to so much to do. Walked across the street for a very inexpensive breakfast in the mornings. Ask staff about Alexander Springs. Beautiful place with beautiful clear spring water. Temperature is nice and cool when the ocean is to warm 🥰

Didn't like they offer breakfast but not a continental one. No bacon eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast. Nothing of that nature. Quite disappointed about that. Glad there is a breakfast place across the street called "cracked egg" At least coffee was available all day long and popcorn 😁

On the go breakfast, however, it's not really a big deal. Doesn't really affect the overall stay factors.

The room itself was large enough - the mini kitchenette was adequate for cooking a quick meal. The hotel was clean & the staff was very attentive. I saw cleaning/maintenance staff walking around working the whole two day visit. The continental breakfast was nice with a variety of sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal & pastries. Also coffee and juices. The hotel has a nice "sitting" area in front with two cool hammock swings and patio furniture to sit and enjoy the cool ocean breeze.

The hotel does not currently have a pool or beach access due to the two hurricanes that occurred on Florida's east coast lar year. The bathroom was small - with just enough room for one person at a time.

We stay here often because this hotel is run by a family that seem to care about your happiness and satisfaction. I've never been to a better hotel, and we travel a lot. The rooms are immaculate and all come with kitchenettes. The Spectrum Wi-Fi is available all over the hotel and works great. The huge TV's are FireTV and work flawlessly with their Internet. The rooms have apartment size refrigerators, stovetop, microwave along with plates, cups, and silverware. Everything you need to have a relaxing stay. The sunrises from the balcony are spectacular. And we can't forget the continental breakfast. Just incredible! Hands down the best continental breakfast you'll find in the area. Parking is easy and secure . By the time you leave, you'll feel like you're leaving home. I always look forward to coming back here.

The only thing you'll regret is not staying longer.

Everything I loved the view!! The bed was so comfy!! The staff was amazing, especially. I wanna say ava. I can't spell it !!! I love how their pet friendly and cheap 15$ a day for dogs!! IDK about cats!!! You can also leave your pet in the hotel room if ya don't Wana take them on beach!! The only suggestion I have is maybe have a rug by the back door and front door for the sand and a broom for each room so people can sweep up sand and do not have to sleep with sand !! Other than that, it's amazing! Can't wait to see the renovation for the pool and beach access

Everything was just like my last visit in July,the added coffee machine in the lobby was a great plus,although i am not big on coffee...but had to try the cappuccino and it was excellent..

The pool still has stagnant water,a pool cover would be nice,it's really an eyesore...I know this other problem is not the hotel's fault but the smell of marijuana and people smoking it on the balcony,has become a big problem at all resorts and hotels,and i know some do smoke it in the rooms..it's very annoying when you try to enjoy the fresh smell of the ocean while on the balcony..

ago This is a very nice hotel that has been sitting on the beach for many years. The building has been taken good care of and has old Florida charm. The balconies that face the ocean are private and provide views that will take your breath away. Especially at sunrise. I've stayed here several times through the years. The rooms are updated with new beds and huge TV's with Fire TV built in. They have apartment sized refrigerators and stovetop and microwave. The continental breakfast is really nice and has plenty of variety. They have coffee that is really good and even have popcorn in the lobby. There is a very nice sitting area right outside the lobby, very relaxing. Parking is sufficient for cars, SUVs and pickup trucks. The staff were all very friendly and didn't rush or be rude. They were awesome and genuinely care. I promise you love your stay here.

Staff was extremely friendly. The room had a pleasant smell when we arrived. Though there was no vending machines the front desk hooked hum up with some water from their water cooler. Breakfast didn't have many options, but there was breakfast offered. We never heard a sound from foot traffic in the hall or from our neighbors.

Beds are memory foam. So I personally didn't care for them. But my husband and son thought they were ok. The in room coffee pot was disgusting. The refrigerator was full of water. We forgot to stop and get distilled water before arriving for my husband's cpap and there was no vending machines to purchase a bottle of drinking water.

We liked the view. There was residual damage from the hurricane, so we expected that there would be some issues. However, the staff communicated with us, ensuring we understood that there was no direct access to the beach and no pool. The continental breakfast was not fancy, but it met our needs. The staff were pleasant.

was not met. We had requested a handicapped-accessible bathroom. Unfortunately, that request was not met. I did not see sugar-free options for breakfast that would meet the needs of a diabetic like myself. However, these are not deal-breakers. I am sure that by the next time we visit Daytona Beach, the facilities will be up to pre-hurricane standards.
