Days Inn by Wyndham Daytona Oceanfront

Very large room with a small bathroom. We were on the top floor (7th) and had a wonderful view of the beach and sea. Good pool area but there were civil engineers repairing part of the patio area.

There was nowhere to wal to around the property all "good" restaurents needed a car to reach. A lot of heavy engineering noise from the patio repair. Standing on the beach and looking back athte hotels all you could see was building work/repairs, as far as the eyes could see.

Stunning view from the 7th floor ! Couldn't ask for a better ocean view ! Check in staff person was extremely friendly and helpful !

Room was a bit dated but great value for the price.

The VIEW!! Room was clean and comfortable. Beach access was good. Especially since you are etill recovering from 2 hurricanes! (Maybe think about a ramp of some sort to make it more accessible for mobility challenged people.) Those steps are fairly steep and the last step onto the beach is a bit higher. Everyone I encountered from the front desk to the cleaners were fantastic and so courteous! Our kitchen area (403) was missing most silverware, only 1 spoon and knives, only a turner for utensils, no potholders, and could use a small cookie sheet or pizza pan.

The tight bathroom. When updating rooms, do away with regular door and install pocket doors would help. Please make your entire facility smoke free (except for a couple designated areas) I shouldn't have to smell someone else's cigarette or worse pot while trying to enjoy my balcony.

oceanfront rooms are amazing! Watched the sunrise every morning. Room came with a kitchen which was so nice. Mattress was very comfortable. Location was nice for us…a little south of the boardwalk area so quieter and not as much traffic but close enough for a 4-5 minute drive to get to. Recent access to beach has been repaired and was so nice!

My only real complaint is the “baby” pillows a lot of hotels are going to instead of the standard, or king pillows. They are so uncomfortable so I now bring my own pillow so that’s an easy fix. Only other thing is that there’s only 1 elevator so it can take a minute.

Location was perfect right on the beach, staff was super friendly and there was a mini golf right across the street.

Only complaint I have is there was a soda can left on the side of the bed and a Pringles can on the balcony but that was a super minor issue

Very clean, great staff. Nice pool. The 4th time we've stayed there, perfect for us.

SO close to beach Beds were comfortable Room was very clean no bugs or excess dirt, whole hotel could use some small upgrading but it wasn't bad They overbooked so we were upgraded from an ocean view room to a ocean front suite for free Free parking Room was large

Our upgraded room was on pool level we did not have any privacy if we opened the balcony curtains or door and could hear everyone on the pool deck but we only had a one night stay so we didn't mind Steps down to the ocean were kind of slippery could use some grip tape While the bed was pretty decent the pillows were very firm and stiff The pool goes from 3-6 feet. There's no kiddie pool for small children It stormed pretty bad and our balcony flooded and filled with mulch and dirt and water started to try to come inside from the balcony door Coffee pot, coffee, tea and cups were in the bathroom on the counter even though there was a small kitchenette which I thought was a bit weird and unsanitary we did not use them.

The hotel is right on the ocean. It’s easy to get to from the mainland. The desk clerks are super friendly and accommodating. We had a good time conversing with both the morning and evening staff throughout our stay. The room we stayed in was so close to the water! Bathroom was clean and well stocked. We ended up with a room that had a full kitchen and everything looked well maintained. Parking was not a problem even with our big one ton pickup.

There were some signs of aging on some of the interior but it wasn’t bothersome to my husband or me. Outside you’ll find some hurricane damage to the sea wall and hot tub which is currently being repaired. Not a complaint, just a quick note to others. Many properties along that stretch still have storm damage no.

Sadly when we went the hurricane had destroyed the beach access but the property was one of a few on that strip that had been spared. Staff was nice and hotel was decorated for the holiday. They were constantly cleaning or a maintenance person doing upgrades. They took pride in their hotel. I liked my room had a full size fridge and cooking area although the guy diwn stairs set off the fire alarm catching a pizza box on fire but staff was on top of it.

The bed size was small they said it was a queen but it was a microqueen or full size, it was comfortable just tight.That beach access was destroyed but there was nothing the hotel or staff could do about that. I'd like to return when beach access is available.

We LOVED everything! The room was really clean, nothing dirty behind things or in cracks. So, every little thing was clean. All the bedding was super clean and fresh which is so important. The room was a little dated, but that didn't matter. I loved that the hallways were indoors. Everything worked properly. Good water pressure even on the 6th floor. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows too! Oh, and the oceanside view is to die for!! A couple chairs and side table on the balcony. So nice to sit out there! Also a cool set up for the air conditioner to keep any water condensation from dripping all over the balcony, which was a great thought they put into the building. We also seen dolphins everyday! The parking deck underneath was great, and I loved how it had access from there to the pool and then to the ocean because we could leave our sandy beach things in the car and not put them in our room. Also there is a sport to wash your car and vacuum your car in the parking deck, which is going way beyond just a 2 star hotel! There us also a spray hose at the top of the stairs from the beach to spray all the sand off. There are bathrooms by the pool. The air way also great in the hotel. This hotel went above and had the mini fridge and room cooled at 68 degrees when we arrived to check in which felt great in a hot day and toting our things in. Walking distance to different places! Great breakfast, lunch, and dinner places nearby and easy to drive to places too. Parking at every place we went to. Oh, and the free coffee is super nice with liquid half n half, not just powdered creamer. Ahhh, I drank 2 to 3 cups a day! We just loved all the little touches and all the accommodations that were put into this hotel! We definitely will be back. This hotel definitely should not fall under a 2 star hotel because it is just super nice and comfortable. Everyone is so friendly too!

The only suggestion I would make is that the carpets be steam cleaned. If they are, it isn't often because our one year old had black knees from crawling around in the room. We weren't in the room much each day so it wasn't a big deal. I would highly recommend that somehow be done though because that would make a HUGE difference. One big thing that would be a nice upgrade would be a ramp to the beach. We did not see one on the property. So keep that in mind. My husband was able to tote our wagon up and down the stairs to the beach though.
