Very friendly staff they go out of there way to try to make u happy.

The location one block off the beach is awesome! The property manager, Christine was very nice and helpful. Appreciated the free use of beach towels, and the free parking. Room was spacious and pretty much had everything we needed. Quiet. The biggest downside was the mattress, which “sunk” in the middle and had very little support. Replace the mattress and we’ll stay with you on every trip to Deerfield. 😉

The property is right across the street, 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. You are close by foot ( a nice little walk), by bike and a short car ride to everything, restaurants, entertainment, etc..The property is dated. but exceptionally clean and maintained. The rooms have an old fashioned charm, comfy and cozy! The heated pool and wonderful jacuzzi, beach towels, bicycles, boogie boards, coffee in the little lobby, bbq area, pet friendly dog area, was and is amazing! Now for one word about the Staff, EXCEPTIONAL! They were all helpful and accommodating and friendly above and beyond!They make this little resort feel like home! Amongst all the choices in this area, The Avalon Resort is a little piece of country charm heaven amongst the bigger hotels and I would highly this property!!

This place is great. when I stayed it was noisy because they where cleaning the building. That’s noise for a good reason because they actively care about providing a clean place. The owner was awesome made the place feel welcoming. Its also a block away from a beautiful beach.

I didn’t see laundry but I never asked where it was so that’s on me. The furniture is a little old but if that’s making the place a little cheaper I’ll take it for sure.

Avalon is a quiet, clean, and convenient little boutique hotel. We stayed for 3days. 1 night at the beginning of our trip and 2 nights at the end. We had 2 different rooms and both were very clean and homey. A small kitchenette every thing we needed if we were going to stay and wanted to make our own meals. The staff went over and above to make us feel at home.

My husband and I are used to a very firm mattress. The beds were on the softer side.

Nice location with easy beach access. We walked the beach boardwalk (actually brick walkway) to the ice cream shop opposite the pier only half a mile away. The Avalon Resort was clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk (sorry I forgot her name) was very friendly and helpful. The suite we stayed in was larger and nicer than I had anticipated including Livingroom, kitchen and separate bedroom. More like a small condo than a suite. Everything was very clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable. The A/C was cold. We loved the balcony. even though we couldn’t see much of the ocean from it, It was still nice enjoying the breeze and watching the street and pedestrian traffic. We had our Yorkie with us so we appreciated the little dog park. Parking was no cost and convenient to our room

Everything was fabulous, except the bed was not so pleasant and the pull out couch had bars going across and a thin unpleasant mattress. We didn't complain because everything else was fabulous! We just went out to the Target on Federal highway and bought a queen size blow up mattress. The pillows were flat and old. They have maid service by request, be sure to ask ! We didn't know to ask. I don't mind cleaning, but there are no cleaning supplies and no broom or dust pan, no extra garbage bags, towels or toilet paper in the room. The office is closed after 5 pm and on Sundays walked our garbage to the dumpster at the end of the complex , the exercise did me good. Other than MINOR inconvenience, it was perfection. The staff was very very nice. Ryan who works round the clock helping everyone was fabulous! The room was a nice size. There were zero bugs. Kitchen was excellent. View was excellent. Free wifi. Very excellent. Loved that it had a dog park. Many people with dogs but didn't hear a single bark in 4 days! Awesome! Putter golf, picnic area, heated pool, lots of chairs, corn hole. Big screen TV. My favorite thing was the elevator!! And the room is central air conditioning not a icky smelly window unit style like other hotels have. Fresh clean ceiling vent air in the room. The room had zero smells. It was great!

Sadly, The beds were so disappointing, they shook very unsteady top and bottom of bed seperately when you sat on it. Very thin old pillows. the mattress caved to the middle. Mattress had stains on it, but there were NO bed bugs. The pull out couch had bars and a thin uncomfortable mattress hurt my hips and shoulders. WE DIDN'T complain everything else was fabulous so we just Went out to the Target and bought a blow up queen size mattress and a few new pillows to sleep on in front of the couch area. Everything else was perfection.

this place a quite a hidden gem, has a boutique feel, very clean and good amenities. The staff is simply amazing and there are not enough good things i can say about it. I will definitely return for a longer stay soon

Everything was Great The Room was Amazing the location was outstanding and the Employee's was Beyond Great we will Definitely Stay at this Resort the next time and every time we come to this area I can't even say enough about how wonderful this place is and a Very BIG THANK YOU to Christine for being so wonderful and friendly. and parking was great and they are Pet friendly.

Everything!!! Everyone here goes above and beyond to make your trip great!! I was worried about arriving at 1am with kids Christine emailed me right back told me exactly where my key would be along with directions to our room. Is it 5 star no but the customer service is well over a 5 star! Thank you for making our weekend away from Ohio winter a success!!
