We loved the horses first of all-----that was our purpose in choosing Rock Pointe. The pool was wonderful as we were SO hot when we got there and the temp was perfect for cooling off. The breakfast was SO nice, thanks Peter. Our barn time with Nancy was SO special, and she is very good at explaining anything and she sure knows her horses!

The TV in our room was SO small AND we didn't get local channels or anything we would care to watch. A good movie would have been nice but we did not want to mingle for TV in the big room once we were dressed for bed. That negative was not a BIG thing and the coffee on the front porch from our room and the parade of horses going back to the barn for the day IF you like horses (especially Vanner Gypsies) this is something you need to do but maybe during the winter season when they are probably more active.

The horse farm is on a gorgeous property with a beautiful large house. The living room is spacious as is the dining room, and the bedroom is beautiful and spanking clean modern and new. There is a ceiling fan and gaslit fireplace, though the central HVAC is kept at a comfy 73-75 degrees. You have a lovely large bathroom well supplied with shampoo and body wash, and a very large luggage room with great number if shelves. You can get a private entrance from the patio doors. Hosts Peter and Nancy are very kind and helpful, and are happy to take you to meet and pet the horses, most of a breed called Gypsy Vanners, which look like full sized Shetland ponies with shaggy legs. They are beautiful and love to be petted. There is an outside pool but enclosed in a glass walled room, very unique with landscape views. The property is quite large with many trees and pretty bucolic views. Its about 40 minutes to Crystal river where you can park at town hall for a $20 trip to see manatees at three sisters springs. You can also try crystal river outfitters, who have kayak xanie and cruise trips along a flat shallow canal to the three sisters inlet, very safe and flat water! No need to venture out to Kings bay which is farther away

Time was too short for this heavenly stay!

We were able to walk around the property to look at all the beautiful horses and play with the 2 German Shepherds without any restrictions. We were also given full asses to the pool at night, which was wonderful. The property was very peaceful and calming. The room was comfy and clean. We enjoyed every moment.

The dirt road to get there... it's very long and driving a small vehicle on it was scary as I was praying I wouldn't get a flat tire.

Peter was our chef for breakfast both mornings at their ranch. Each morning our meals were so delicious, filling and well worth the little extra! Peter was very nice and cooked each breakfast to order. Perfectly done and so yummy. There was cereal and toast available if that is all you wanted but why pass up a meal prepared by your own private pastry chef? The morning we were checking out Peter told us one of their Gypsy-Vanner mares had given birth to a new filly at 2 A.M that morning. and we very excited to be able to see both the newborn and the proud mama. Their gorgeous ranch is not a Dude ranch for trail rides or horse rentals but it is a training, breeding ranch for some of the most beautiful horses you will ever see. They also have a few lucky 'rescue" horses that needed a new 'furever' home and were fortunate that Rock Point Ranch adopted them. Nancy and Peter were both extremely gracious hosts and would answer any questions about their ranch and all of their fur babies. We enjoyed their 2 big dogs and the 2 'barn' cats that were so friendly and loving. This country B&B is well worth the money if you are staying in Florida's west coast vicinity . Don't miss the chance to visit! We think that you will also love it.

Loved the patio and grounds. Hosts we're awesome and animals were friendly. Liked the cardinals horses and carriages and trees. Hosts home is beautiful, saltwater pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, cafe seating, comfy lounges and big rattan seating at table. Outdoor shower.

The Ranch was everything it said. We pretty much liked everything. Although the hosts live onsite, we still had our privacy. Their home is big enough to feel like an elite. It was very nice. Can't say we didn't like anything.

Quiet and peaceful place. The animals are well taken care of and very friendly, specially the dogs. Room very clean and comfortable, as I needed, staying inside the room for the majority of the time. The house has a good vibe, you feel you are in other country or planet. The coffeemaker in the room is a plus. Although that you are in the farm, is not smelly. The hosts are busy, however are all the time approachable. Definitely coming back.

The room in the middle, is behind the kitchen, because the closet is empty, the evening conversations go through the walls. Wasn't a big deal.

My daughter and I travelled here for her 10th Birthday. We had so much fun. The couple who own this place are very friendly and happy. We had a lot of fun in the hot tub. The room we stayed in is spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved our little porch area where the dogs and cats would visit. The dogs are so friendly and cute. Even the little cat is friendly, doesn't bite or sratch. Pete and Nancy even had time to let my daughter pet all the horses and take pictures just before we left. We loved the place and will definitely be back. The location is also very quiet and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace.

Having to go home.

It is located a beautiful country setting that is relaxing, quiet, and extremely interesting. The breakfast was excellent and at a reasonable cost. Our room was very clean, large and the bed was comfortable. Host and hostess were pleasant and very informative about their ranch and their gorgeous horses. We will be back.

We were looking forward to using the hot tub listed in the B&B description but unfortunately is was out of service. This did not affect us enjoying our stay.

I didn't have breakfast there since I wanted to get out on the bike trail early.

In order to drive to the entrance, you leave the paved road and go about a half mile on a rocky, bumpy, and dusty road hoping not to damage your car or tires. I never went faster than 10 mph over this road.

Great staff, beautiful horses, quiet surroundings

Didn’t like the fact that the first booking.com ad I saw for rock point ranch stated no cancellation fee only to find out after I booked that they would take the hole reservations fee if I cancelled
