Holiday Inn Express Crystal River, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was one of the better Holiday Inn expresses I've ever stayed in. The ladies at counter was pleasant and my 2 bedroom suite was just what I needed. I actually thought the hotel was brand new because of the ilook inside and out. People in the Lil town was just friendly.

I think what I didn't like most is to find out that they no longer do Turkey meat for breakfast. I hope this isn't the case at all of the Holiday Inn Expresses which is one of the reasons I choose them. Trying to make a left hand turn getting out of the hotel was a bit complicated as well as making a left turn to go in. For the most part I had no complaints as a first time visitor.

Hotel was clean and conveniently located for visiting Crystal River and Homosassa. We had a problem with our room not locking, we went to reception and we were moved and upgraded to a larger room within half an hour, beds were really comfortable and room facilities excellent. Cannot fault staff or facilities at all. A very kind lady on check in gave us a list of nearby recommended places for dinner. Breakfast was plentiful and a good selection. Pool area small but clean and quiet, towels provided.

First Hotel on our trip through Florida with a decent breakfast (hot and cold). We liked it! We booked a room for 4 people with two queen size beds. The room was spacious, there was plenty of space for all of us including our luggage. Coffee, coffee maker and microwave in the room, free coffee 24/7 in the lobby. Enough parking space, everything just perfect.

There were no blinds or anything else to keep the sun out.

- Although the staff carried our luggage, we had to go down for breakfast and back as the lifts were broken

Ample space for three adults and one youth…..two queen size beds. Even though I noted there would be four in the room, there were only towels for two. Two more towels were delivered quickly by housekeeping.

When we requested more towels for the pool area because they had all been taken and we asked to bring out more for the others in the pool area we were told we could only have two and anyone else would have to come to the front desk from the pool to get more. That didn’t seem very hospitable.

Beautiful clean facility, comfortable room & bed. Great morning breakfast service. Food was excellent and staff was great. Hotel was conveniently located near relatives we were visiting. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Light switch inside entrance to room switched both the entry overhead light and the wall lamps by the bed. Very inconvenient as bedside lights could not be turned on without getting up and using the switch by the door. Also, bedside lights were centered between the beds, providing light for the bedside nearest but leaving the far side dark

Sid not know the first and second floors are designated for animals. I would have appreciated knowing and I would have requested a room in another floor. I spoke to the persons at the checkout desk and they expressed apologies and discounted my bill. I certainly was not aware that the rooms were rented to guests with dogs. I am not sure I will stay at a Holiday Inn going forward.

This hotel exceed our expectations in terms of cleaning and furniture - everything seemed to be brand new! The location is excellent - nearby there is supermarket and the Springs are within 5 minutes of driving.

people sometimes are gross - there were a couple of guests washing up their dive gear in the swimming pool. I'm a diver too but I never - ever wash away my dirty dive gear at a public ( hotel) facility.

When I booked with booking.com, I was given one price for the room. When I got there, I was given another price for the room. When I checked out, my bill was more than either of the 2 previous prices. Next time , regardless of the hotel, I will book directly with the hotel instead of using any of the third party options.

Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, the rooms air conditioning worked!!!!! The hot breakfast was great (biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, omelettes, potatoes, sausage patty’s, cereal bar, hot cinnamon rolls and a pancake station). The only thing was the shower head was clogged so we had minimal water pressure. We called the front desk and they offered to move us, but we just said if they could fix it the next day while we were out that would be great. The next day my husband ended up fixing it himself after we got back. No biggie. Overall, very pleasant stay and we would stay here again!
