Room was large, nicely appointed. Bed was comfortable. The location was awesome, in a quieter area of Key West, but still close to a lot of restaurants and things to do and see. There were plenty of towels and linens. Bath products were nice. I appreciated having access to water and coffee throughout the day.

Room was humid, I know it's Florida, but this seemed like it could have been remedied or at least improved somehow. We also did not have hot water one night. This was fixed the next morning. We told staff at checkout and they said that somehow the hot water heater had gotten turned off.

Very quaint and not your typical hotel almost a bed and breakfast.

Air conditioner is very loud and above bed in our room but my bigger concern was cleaning staff were in our room before we had checked out therefore we were unable to do a thorough check that we had everything

Room 43 was great. Pool was ok. Breakfast was very good - lots of choices. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating!

The room I booked was smaller than anticipated, and did not have a window or door that I could leave open. I went to the front desk and asked about opening the window, was concerned about the strong smell of chlorine/bleach, and the TV wouldn’t stay flush against the wall. The staff person (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) was wonderful and tried to find another room for me. She was able to upgrade me to a king room with a patio (Room # 43) for the same price that I had paid, and I was extremely grateful. That room was wonderful. I greatly enjoyed the room and the patio deck was so enjoyable for my evening cocktail, and morning coffee. Thank you! I will definitely recommend the Lighthouse to everyone!

How small the room was for the price

Great location. Staff was friendly Music at poolside two afternoons - however it started right after lunch when everyone was out. By the time we came back from our daily activities they had played to noone and then left an hour later. Liked having the bar at poolside. Again, the hours were very early. Pool location is private and very inviting. It's big enuf.

The bed was minimally comfortable and the bedding was substandard. Used Queen sheets on a King bed. AC was noisy and there was no option to just introduce outside air, even when the outside temp was perfect.

Excellent location as you are close enough to walk to main stuff and yet if you don’t want to walk there is the bus that goes right by the hotel and is free to get on and get off where you want. You don’t need a rental car, and not a big cost to take a Lyft from airport to hotel and back. Pool is in great location. Breakfast is good and plentiful with hard boiled eggs not hot eggs, cereals, can make toast and bagels, yogurt, danish etc. Also staff is very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are very small as some done even have dressers to put your cloths in. Even though the rooms are with not much more room for other than a bed it would be nice to somehow have a couple of chairs in the room so if you wanted to stay in the room you didn’t have to sit on the bed all the time.

Breakfast was varied and well presented but be careful of the creamer used for the coffee it was found to have gone off by a couple of guests.

Not able to use the pool because of a large group of guests that stood talking and drinking for hours. Beware of the price at the bar and explore other parking alternatives there off site parking arrangement is quite expensive.

Things we love: the staff, the aesthetic, the location

Things that could use improvement: cleanliness of rooms, and general upkeep — I’ve noticed things are a lot more “worn” than in previous stays. Things are looking tatty— the trash bins, loose toilet paper holders and unpatched holes in walls, crusty sounding exhaust fans, etc. it’s just getting shabby since it’s last facelift.

Great location. Everything felt well maintained and clean. Very friendly desk staff. Great breakfast in the morning that will save you $20+/person vs eating out every morning. Doesn't feel like a cramped hotel or the cookie-cutter apartment style rooms that other places on the island tend to be.

Weird cleaning hours. They would try to clean the rooms at 830am, but would come back later if you dismissed them. Not a really big issue overall.

Loved it

The front staff doesn’t communicate very week about the bike rentals. One lady even raised her voice at me for the bike company texting me to keep the bikes that day. I couldn’t help they texted me, but she yelled at me for that. As someone who works in retail golf, I would get fired for yelling at a customer. Especially when the customer was simply trying to explain something. This was disappointing.
