Kimpton Ella's Cottages, an IHG Hotel

The location was amazing! Being in the center of the island you could walk anywhere but the area was still quiet. The 2 bedroom cottage was very comfortable for our family of 5. The boozy welcome and free breakfast was a wonderful treat. Loved eating breakfast by the pool with the roosters. Jenny was extremely helpful and made us feel at home.

We wish the 2 bedroom cottage had 2 bathrooms.

Great accommodations and location

Breakfast food was a disappointment. No real thought put to it in my mind. With a little effort you could provide a much higher quality spread while maintaining safety. I should know as I am an infectious diseases physician.

Beautiful and charming place, great bedding, very fine decoration. staff super friendly.

the bedroom had no windows. was a bit claustrophobic. the breakfast wasn’t very interesting. no fruit left at 9:30, nothing but packed goods.

-it was beautifully decorated -the staff was super friendly, eager to please -it was very clean -it was situated close to all the activities and excellent restaurants, but far tucked away from the drunks

-the pics online were super deceptive about the size of the rooms and pool. I feel like that was pretty shady-they knew what they were doing! -the rooms were very close to the street that had loud mopeds/motorcycles zooming through and so with our single paned windows, we got woken up a lot with the noise outside- even with our very loud white noise sound machine :(

We loved how centrally located the property was to everything. We like to walk around and explore with the kids and this props made that easy. The courtyard area with the pool was nice and shaded and we did utilize the outdoor dining area on a couple occasions. The breakfasts in the morning had a good selection, but if you weren’t feeling it, you are still witching walking distance to one of the local cafes. We also ADORED Jeffery the hotel cat. He was probably the biggest hit with the kids.

Consistency with the room towels would have been appreciate. There were four of us in the room and we had to ask for 2 extra towels on two occasions, but the staff was very quick to rectify the situation for us.

Staff and facilities are very quaint and comfortable here. Convenient anyway you look at it.

I can't really find anything I didn't like. I did notice that the floor lamps were at an awkward angle no matter how you turned it and some of my crew kept bumping into them. Lol But I think they're blind sooo. Lol

Staff was excellent. Setting was excellent. Location was very good. Room was very satisfactory.

FYI, there appears to be a problem with fastening things to the drywall. One bedside lamp was partially hanging loose from the wall because the drywall anchors had pulled out on the top connection. Similarly two towel bars were coming loose on one end because the drywall anchors had pulled out. (Room # 16)

GREAT location - loved not using our cars for days! felt like an oasis. We were around all our favorite local restaurants and sites and could also walk to the main areas as well easily - complimentary bikes were a bonus too! quiet and comfortable - enjoyed every minute of this hotel and location - went with 2 kids and they loved it too- staff was very welcoming and friendly

Great location! Once we parked the car, we were able to walk most anywhere or took the free Loop Bus that stops right at the front door. The cottages are quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful with anything you need. We will be back!

We couldn't stay longer...

The bedroom was beautiful, with nice furniture & fixtures, pretty wood floors, and a large TV. The bathroom had very nice marble tile and a large shower. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The location is great--a short block or two from Duval, but quiet at night. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They sent texts to check on our stay and offered to fix any minor issues that arose.

The A/C unit, while cold, was a little noisy. We had trouble with the ceiling fan control, but it was resolved. There was some construction noise from next door, but it could really only be heard from the bathroom. I prefer the ability to make coffee in the room, but the breakfast room had plenty of (likely better) coffee in the morning, and it was a short walk away.
