Crowne Plaza Melbourne-Oceanfront, an IHG Hotel

The restaraunt is a little Gem, we had our breakfasts their every morning and I looked forward to it. The outaide deck faces the ocean, really beautiful and the waitresses working their are amazing. They work their butts off! Their friendly and very pleasant. The Hotel is kept very clean and most guests wore their masks in the common area and on the elevator. If your worried about crowds, the direct beach access gives you to option to get your drinks or foods to go and head to beach to avoid that.

The building has balconies for the rooms which is great, but the left side od the buildings lower roof top has all the Air conditioning units, which is a big part of the balconie's view if your in those rooms. That roof top is GROSS, It should be painted and kept clean. Management needs to improve the experience for thoir Guests ataying on that side of the building, The ocean view to the right was lovelly but it was spoilled because of that. Also, you get charged a approx 10 bucks a night for parking. I dont understand that. Its not like its a gated parking lot with security or valet. What is the charge for??? You dont have an option to park on the street, so that should be apart of your stay. I didnt like that at all.

Excellent location, staff and restaurant. Nice room with comfortable beds. Enjoyed the live band, beach and pool. Everything that I ordered to eat and drink at the restaurant was delicious and top notch. Pleasant staff everywhere.

We reserved a double queen room for three people with “breakfast included in the rate” only to be told at check in that the breakfast was for two people - not ok and especially when I paid $356/night for three people. However after some discussion, the manager approved breakfast for the third person. It felt uncomfortable to unsafe to be in the huge parking lot across the four lane road after dark without security and pay an additional $16 per day. Valet parking is available for the rich and famous lol for $24 per day and they park in the spaces next to the hotel.

Super great staff! Marco at the front desk was helpful and nice from our phone call before arriving all the way to helping us find out if my husbands wedding band had been turned in although it’s probably in the ocean. He also hooked us up with a drink ticket when he learned it was my birthday. The bar staff were also so nice. Honestly, not one staff member wasn’t incredibly nice. We even received a message after our check out apologizing for not being able to give us an ocean view although I still considered our room an ocean view.

meals were good, the location (tiki on the beach) was excellent. Live music during afternoons and evenings was outstanding. Renting chairs, umbrellas and surfboards was easy, and convenient. Overall it was great for our family to have easy access to all these activities.

Sometimes the music was too loud during meal times - couldn't talk or hear. Just needed to turn it down a bit because everyone enjoyed the music during meals.

The hotel itself exceeded my expectations. The pictures actually don't do it justice. The hotel building was super nice and decorated nicely and bathrooms in common areas were very clean and big. The restaurant next to the beach with a tiki feel was so nice to sit at and watch the waves. The beach was just a quick walk out the door and down some steps from the bar. It was beautiful and the pool was a nice addition to the beach also.

The room was advertised as having a partial ocean view and I even paid for an upgrade to be able to see it, but there was a laughingly small view from our room (maybe 10 degrees of a 180 degree porch possible view). The room was a very basic room and the bed frame stuck out past the mattress and I nicked my shin on it several times. The pool was in between the buildings so you have very little sun and lots of wind, so only a few of the sunchairs were in the sun to sunbathe. There was also only one small foot shower from the beach so you couldn't get the sand off well before you stepped inside the hotel so we got so much sand in the room and had to sweep with towels.

The hotel is right on the beach. We booked a king with a balcony that was described as a "partial ocean view" but the view was more beautiful than described with ocean view. Our room was larger than expected with a sitting area and a balcony the length of the room. Beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented on the beach. The beach is very clean and not crowded. The hotel is about 1 mile from a Walmart and resturants.

The room could have been more cleaner. The floor was dirty and needed sweeping and mopping. I didn't feel comfortable going without shoes. At check-in, the staff was nice however, afterward, were non-existent. I don't feel that I should have to pay for self-parking that is across the street.

By the beach, a great pool, very friendly, helpful staff.

The restaurant was slow to acknowledge us. When the girl did acknowledge us, she said a server would be over....15 minutes later, no one acknowledged us, so we went to breakfast at a nearby restaurant! Also, it would be nice to have a microwave in the room. Only one trash can was provided.

It was the perfect location. Breakfast was great however we did not realize we had to pay for it until the end when they brought the check.

The service for our dinner was not great. We had to ask 3 people to assist us in placing our order and the third person was actually our waiter. He was pleasant but very slow. We had to wait for drinks and foods longer than expected.

An absolutely remarkable trip! The location was perfect and very close to the Melbourne Airport. There is shuttle service to and from the hotel/airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our spacious King room with a balcony, which was immaculate facing the ocean and street. The hotel restaurant and bar had a great menu selection with a staff that was friendly and accomodating. Team members at the front desk were extremely knowledgeable about the area and even provided a microwave for the room upon request. We highly recommend this property.

There was nothing not to like. The only complaint was having to go home!

Location is perfect! Beach was clean and beautiful. Rooms were spacious, clean, and apappealing. Tiki bar was very nice and the food was excellent there. Loved that they had local beer on tap

Breakfast was disappointing. Booked for 3 adults yet was only given 2 vouchers for the "breakfast included" if it wasn't free would not recommend. It is buffet style but due to covid you couldn't server yourself. You had to stand next to someone who served you in a tiny area (not sure what this achieved) We found it just awkward and went elsewhere the next morning.
