Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville/Ponte Vedra

The hotel is very convenient to Sawgrass, which is where we wanted to be. There are good restaurants in walking distance and a grocery store and pharmacy. Virginia at the front desk was above and beyond and so helpful and friendly, always greeting us by name with a smile.

The maid put queen sheets on our king bed but once we reported it, they came right uo and changed it. We liked everything.about this Hilton.

We traveled with our 2 young children and we love to have the kids sleep on the pull out bed while we slept in the separate king bed. In the morning we push the bed back into the couch and the kids have plenty of room to hang out and play.

The bathroom was a good size but the light was very very bright. If you are going to the bathroom in the middle of the night there is no choice other than to turn it on and blind yourself. I ended up moving the lamp from the desk area to the bathroom for just this reason.

Great location and price. Wonderful breakfast coupon for the restaurant connected to the hotel. Enjoyed the balcony attached on the room. Also, enjoyed the 1:30 pm late checkout.

The shower is a built in with a low ceiling. We were a party of 4 and there were only 3 bath towels and no blanket for the foldout couch. The front desk did provide a blanket & more towels but we just wish they were in the room after a long day of traveling.

visited Sawgrass for a meal and tour, so great location and walking distance to the club. Good restaurants and supermarket next door. staff were helpful and told us about the storyteller tour at the golf club. Thank you so much otherwise we wouldn’t have know.

Renovation works going on. Didn’t impact on us apart form painters in the lobby and work being done on the lift. our room had been renovated already. not sure if this was reflected in the price as it wasn’t that cheap.

Proximity to 3 golf courses I played tournaments at was excellent. Very nice room and facilities. Food facilities were very close. CVS and Publix about 100 yards away and no need to get on the road to get there. Have stayed here before and will again.

Good location. Close to shops, restaurants and the public beach access was a short drive away.

We needed a room with a pull out couch bed option. The first room we were given the pull out did not work. Of course we did not find out until it was bed time for the kids. That meant we had to pack everything back up and change rooms after the kids had baths and were ready for bed. It was very frustrating.

I have stayed at various Hilton properties this year. This was by far the cleanest, most welcoming hotel in the past year. Shortly after the 1st wave of covid, hotels have not made their rooms as clean as pre-covid. It was refreshing to see cleanliness is back to the best form.

I had to contact the hotel after checking out because they charged me the incorrect rate - not the booking.com rate. So, I had to request a refund.

The location is surrounded by green areas, easy parking, restaurants and bar around.

The only problem I had will be a future solution. They are remodeling the hotel and I had some noise issues but it was very well solved with the staff. It doesn’t avoid me to stay there again.

Staff was fantastic; at one point I needed to go back outside at about 1am to double check my vehicle was locked and the one gentleman walked me outside since I didn't feel safe - I am sorry I don't remember his name but he was tall and rides a bicycle to work. The room was clean, well stocked and I loved the fact that at check in they asked if we wanted maid service, which we did not so we didn't have to worry about remembering to put that sign on our door. I was in town for a wedding at a super fancy hotel about a 6 minute drive from this hotel so I choose this place for the location, prior pleasant Hilton experiences and great price. But, I am more than happy that I choose to stay with this hotel; honsestly, even if the "fancier hotel" was in the price range I was willing to spend, I'd still choose this hotel...I didn't feel safe at the "fancy hotel" and the layout and trying to get around there was horrible; however, this Hilton made sense, I felt safe and comfortable. If I am ever in the area, again, in the future, I will definately stay here.

My only complaint is about the bathtub. I know some people perfer a tub but, I personally never feel safe getting in and out of one, even though there is a bar to assist. My bathtub seemed to also be losing the non-slip on the bottom of the tub and I also kept feeling like I was sliding forward toward the drain while showering. I would love it if hotels starting adding in shower only rooms that were an option, I would definately choose that option.

This hotel was in a great central location close to the beach, zoo and shopping! There was an incident the night before we left which led to water coming through the bathroom vent and fixture. The staff took care of this quickly and compensated us for our inconvenience. Things happen. We were pleased with our stay and would definitely stay again! Choose the complimentary breakfast when booking it’s awesome!

The bathrooms were small and the steam from the shower would set off the fire alarm.
