The hotel's location is great. The Scott cocktail bar in the lobby (since 1921) was a surprise - the great bar staff and eclectic crowd really added to the experience. First rate. Overall, value for the money at this historic gem is a solid YES. Don't let the window-A/C units throw you off - they work fine and the rooms are as nicely appointed as the rest of this charming property.

Although the hotel provides free parking, which is always a plus, the parking garage is a block and a half away. No biggie, but only fair to mention.

The location was near everything we wanted to visit. The staff especially Ms Kayla were wonderful, kind and very informative about St Pete and the many ways to get around town and where to get great food. Thanks we'll see you next time !

Bathroom was compact

I loved the history, the breakfast cafe in the morning and, the small quaint bar at night. The room was cute and fit our needs. The property manager was awesome along with all of the baristas. They were very accommodating as my husband was having brain surgery and our stay got moved up. They were able to refund our original trip with no issues and I was able to rebook.

The shower curtain had to be inside the tub which was not present. You had to step on it while showering because it was too long. And the carpets aren’t the cleanest but I did know they are in the process of remodeling so I would stay again!

I loved the bar in the lobby and the ambiance

it is location near a park that has a lot of homeless people - I did not feel like I was in danger but it was smelly.

The location is good. Currently the snack bar in a work in progress, so there is no breakfast available. The hotel is charming, but there are some quirks that may not be for everyone. Towel exchange was accomplished by putting them in a basket outside the room. All the staff were friendly and pleasant. We enjoyed talking to them.

Our clawfoot tub moved slightly and made noises when we stood in it to shower. There is no sink in the counter where the microwave, coffee maker, and fridge are located. There is no space in the room for storing suitcases out of sight.

The location is great - a great value for staying downtown. Just minutes from the Pier and lots of restaurants in the downtown area. Joe checked us in and was very nice and helpful. 2nd and Second is a good diner a short walk away.

You put your dirty towels in a basket outside the room and you are supposed to get clean towels. I didn't get clean towels and had to ask for them. The front desk is only staffed from 8 am - 8 pm, so if you have an issue or question outside of that window you just have to wait.

Then location is amazing. We were able to walk to the Pier which is where all the action is in St. Pete. The place is adorable and we loved hanging out on the porch. We were there on one of the first days after the reopening so not everything was together yet but we really liked it!

It still needed some work but they're well on the way.

Loved the service, and style of the hotel. The room was big. The bathroom and bed was clean. It needed a bit of maintenance. The dead lock rm 309 doesn't work, the door needs to trimmed down on one side. The small refrigerator needs to be lifted or smaller.

The carpet is very old and stained and felt dirty. A floating vinyl floor with sound barrier padding would be cleaner. Everything else was great.

The location and the lobby and front porch

The fact that they charge you an extra $30 a day for parking or a so called “ resort fee” and there’s not even a pool or fitness!

Joe and Tiffany were amazing, very personable. Joe was able to switch my room when the one I had originally included a broken fridge.

To be perfectly honest, the bathrooms were lackluster... They had to do with the space they had so cheers for keeping. it was fine for just me, I don't know how I would feel if I had to share it
