The property is located in great part of town to get from place to place. All the bell hops and shuttle drivers (me James, mr Charles, Mr Norman, mr clay) were all great in giving their advice on places to visit as well as giving a great service. The bar/restaurant staff were friendly and professional. Tomika, Mark, Brandon, Rebecca and all those i met during the stay made it just that little bit more homely. Great place for business travellers.

The only downside, and it’s a small thing, my door to my room had a rather large gap at the bottom which come the evenings and mornings made it quite loud

Such a charming and beautiful hotel! It met and exceeded all expectations. The staff was very friendly and was able to accommodate an early check in for us so that we could make the funeral service we were in town for. The roof top bar is the MOST amazing feature! Don't miss it. Love the added bonus of a shuttle to take us and pick us up from dinner. Just prepare yourself, this is a historic hotel. It has been updated but some reviews don't seem to take that into consideration.

Again, historic hotel. We knew there might be some hiccups but that is part of the charm! I am a hot sleeper and the comforter on the bed is WARM. We had a hard time getting the room cool enough at night and I wish we could have figured out how to run the fan the whole time for some white noise!

I love the different levels of the hotel on the 2nd floor the restaurant was very nice with a beautiful patio. the penthouse floor was so beautiful it had a sitting area as well. the view was everything. also I love how the valet bring your bags to your room and the complimentary champagne.

it does has a older smell when you go to certain parts of the hotel. but nothing overbearing.

Nice neighborhood, pleasant and clean room

We were not told about the $15 per night parking nor the fact that they were going to make a $50 charge against our credit card. We went to breakfast one hour before we needed to leave. it took a long time to take our order and our breakfast didn't arrive until 45 minutes after our initial arrival, so we were very rushed to finish

Overall a wonderful experience. Sights from on high. The restaurant meal was delicious - fish, shrimp & grits, scallops. Professional staff.

No catfish available. I was in room 525. Too loud mechanical noise from outside and especially when sitting on balcony.

very easy, convenient parking. short walk from parking to reception. welcoming staff. comfortable beds and pillows. maintenance came quickly and replaced lightbulbs minutes after I called to report it.

noisy hallway. door to room had some space between it and the wall so I could see light through to the hall. noise came through too.

The location was perfect. The curb appeal in the Historic district.

The pool was dirty and the air conditioner didn’t work/blow properly although it was triple digit degrees.

I loved having a great restaurant as part of the hotel so we did not have to travel to one. The outdoor area was fantastic. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The room was a little small. No seating in room except for the bed. Updates needed.

I loved the history and the patio/porch dining.

rooms need updating as far as air conditioning and for price bathrooms should be better.

The historical aspect of this beautiful hotel was extraordinary, but the staff is what made our stay really special. Clearly, a high service standard has been set and they execute it very well.
