The hotel is rennovated and the rooms are great. Unlike many previous reviews, I highly recommend the hotel as the location is great (within walking distance to hop on hop off) and the price is more than fair!!

the location. it was a fairly easy and quick stroll from the hotel to the Savannah waterfront. it made getting to the shopping district easy. we would definitely stay at this location again. not too mention, staying on the waterfront would cost roughly $400 a night, this Marriott was around $240 a night. the beds were so comfortable and we slept like babies!
coffee and the small breakfast all cost money. granted we just came from a cruise ship where everything was included in our stay. we think breakfast and coffee should be free if rooms costs over $200/night.

The bathrooms on the Lobby level (all stolls in the Ladies Room) weren't working! They were discovered one day and had to be reported the second day. We arrived at 4:30 pm and 2 out of 3 rooms weren't ready which created a problem that resulted in 4 women having to get dressed in one room to rush out for dinner reservations.

The place was in a good location. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Restaurant in location was a place, food was good, and good selection. The bed were comfortable. Lobby was nice. Having water with fruit at enter was nice after walking in from sun. Snacks to purchase was als a plus. Room good siz.
I felt that the floor in restroom and entry to room need a better cleaning.

The updated rooms were beautiful and we loved the central location to restaurants and attractions. We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. The valet guys were super friendly and the housekeeping staff were on point.
There could have been better communication about the renovations going on at the hotel. Admittedly we booked this room months ago and were not checking the website for updates. An email blast would have been nice to let us know some amenities would not be available.
