Location and comfort

No luggage carts available at checkout. Felt as though we were being forced to use bellhops. Ended up carrying our ownbags downstairs.

Very nice front desk and concierge employees. The tour recommended was ok. I guess the guy who gave the tour was more annoying than the tour itself. Not a hotel issue but they did recommend it. Room was nice. Very beautiful lobby and door-people were very nice. Definitely a good location and place to stay. Overall a nice place to stay.

Cost of valet was very expensive and there was not option to self park at the hotel. We ended up going to a public garage. Parking should be part of your cost to stay at the hotel. I never understand why if there is parking available, hotels charge guests so much!!!! The door in the room looked dirty and needs painting. Don't get a room facing out to the street - very noisy at all times of the day and night. Good view but noisy.

The location and beautiful view from our room’s balcony are worth it!

The restaurant below was understaffed, waitress was frezzled and a little rude… The waits to be seated and served for breakfast were a bummer. Since their counter-coffee place was closed, there was no choice to even get a cup of coffee but to put on a coat and try to elbow our way into one of the nearby coffee shops - all crowded in the morning. Also, hours for room service were erratic: we vacated out room by 9am when they were in our floor and then we didn’t return until 5pm, but they had not been thru our room yet and decide to knock on our door when we were showering and getting ready for dinner. I kinda expected more for the price range of this hotel.

This is an extremely beautiful hotel with amazing staff… The restaurant and bar were beautiful. Everything looked very clean and well-maintained. Definitely a swanky place for an event.

There were issues with the plumbing, which I understand because of the hotel being historic it’s old and you’re bound to have plumbing issues… However, we were not offered any compensation for having a toilet that leaked in our room the entire time… The lobby toilets were also backed up and overflowing during our visit. For 479 a night you expect working toilets.

I ate breakfast downstairs in the cafe. It was absolutely delicious. I wish the coffee shop would have been available but it looks as though it was being deep cleaned. Which is amazing!!! The entire hotel is just beautiful. The atmosphere is exactly what I expected for my first visit to Savannah. The view from our room only elevated my already high first impressions. And would you know a parade right in front of us the next morning.

The only thing I did not like about the Desoto was the toiletries in the bathroom and parking, unless vallet. Not impossible just an inconvenience.

The roof top pool was a dream. Great location. Large windows. Great views. Fast elevators and valet.

The only kinda of complaint was the in room bathroom. We were in an accessible room which was great but the sink was over slanted and everything would fall off. The soap had to stay in the basin. It was impossible to take a shower without getting the entire floor soaked. Once it leaked into the room. The accessible showerhead’s hold was broken off so it couldn’t be aimed and would just dangle.

Everyone was friendly, helpful, nice, and welcoming everyday

We loved everything about this property. The one small thing that I found was they made fruit water and brought it out at 2 but took it away at 5. I think they should have the fruit water out all day especially during the summer heat. I just found myself searching for the water everyday and only got to have the watermelon water once. I would recommend that tiny change. Everything else was PERFECT 🤩

Great location, helpful staff

Connecting door between rooms is poorly insulated for sound. I could easily hear the people next door. The real problem was Priceline/Booking. I booked through Priceline, but the hotel did not get confirmation from Priceline/Booking that we had already paid. Big hassle when we checked out, and clearing it up with Priceline was very difficult as I was bounced back and forth between Priceline and Booking.com. The hotel was helpful and did all they could. But I won’t book with Priceline again

loved the location, hotel was beautiful, staff was amazing trained to take care of your every need. pool and outside bar area was impressive.

wish the decks were updated more they feel super unsafe wouldn’t have paid more for the deck if I knew it was a slab of concrete hanging off of a building with a rail it just didn’t look that bad in photos was looking forward to it then I went out I couldn’t do it didn’t even use it like I planned to and also the process of valet parking when busy is not good because when it’s packed there’s no where to wait or take out all your things you need before they take your car there’s got to be a more organized less stressful way because people from out of state do not know how they work before they pull up.
