The Cliffs at Princeville

very clean and had everything we needed. we had partial ocean view from the patio. corner unit was great. cliff views are lovely. wish we had more time to use facilities.

would have been useful to have a drying rack or hooks for beach towels and swim suits

The Cliffs at Princeville is beautifully maintained and is on a great part of Kauai. It is more isolated at this part of the island but the views are stunning.

Our particular condo was on the first floor and many people walked by even though it was the last unit on a corner. Therefore we had to keep the drapes closed more than we would like which made the bedroom very dark. Also this unit had no air conditioning which made it hot since we couldn’t take advantage of the cross breeze due to being so visible on the first floor.

NO guide in the room as to facilities or area attractions, restaurants, etc. Upon check-in we were invited to step into another room to hear about the facilities. As soon as we stepped in the door we recognized a sales pitch room, and and we quickly backed out. At nearly $500 per night there is NO WAY that that we should have to suffer through a sales pitch. Just give us a room guide. Also there are no nearby commercial amenities. Need toothpaste? Drive 2 miles. Want a bagel, a bag of chips or a mixer for a cocktail? Drive two miles. This development area is huge with thousands of units (condos, time shares, vacation clubs). Surely it could support some convenient amenities.

Beautiful location, with spacious rooms and a nice sized kitchen. Coffee was delicious and the staff was very accommodating.

Better water pressure in the showers

the property is based on a beautiful cliff. make sure you book with ocean view! thanks to an upgrade which was provided 🙏🏽we changed rooms to an apartment with ocean view. that was awesome! in the morning we saw whales from the cliff (the garden of the resort)!! a beautiful garden!! facilities in the apartment are very good. great tennis court, small pool though no bar/drinks or restaurant

The view is amazing and the property has a cool community atmosphere, hosting socials for people to mingle in common areas.

It says ocean view but “it’s not guaranteed”. We paid extra for a birthday trip and splurged on the ocean view and when we got there we weren’t anywhere near the view. Our balcony overlooked the lot we parked in.

Large, comfortable, clean unit with everything I needed to enjoy my time. Fantastic location. Grounds were gorgeous and meticulously kept.

Reception told us to expect a visit from the cable company to fix the unit’s wifi at 8am on the day we were due to check out; they offered no concession for the inconvenience. After denying our request a late checkout, we asked to speak to a manager. He offered us very sincere apologies and granted us a late checkout for the trouble. Management is clearly very client oriented and we deeply appreciated his quick response to set things right.

Location was lovely. It was in close driving distance to the state park and did have numerous activities for all ages. The condo was spacious and had lovely showers.

The pool was pretty chilly. The pillows were terrible. There were walks around the cliffs and garden. It would have been nice to have a safer/easier way down the cliff to extend the walks.

Very impressed with landscaping and facilities, although disappointed that the time to rent sport equipment starts at 9am, especially because we were there for 1 day and checkout is at 10. I would have loved to use the basketball court or putting greens at 7 or 8 am. Also loved how spacious the unit was, the proximity to the view of the ocean and Hanalei.

The room felt a little dirty and couch had light stains. Also, check in is at 4 and check out is at 10am, so for a one day stay, we only get 18 hours.

The pool area is exquisite, peaceful and wonderful. The rooms and kitchen are large and comfortable. Great for a small family planning to cook most of your meals.

The kitchen, while ample does not stock any of the basics. You need to buy everything you need for cooking except salt and pepper. Items at the grocery store are expensive and there are few places close by to dine. There is nothing available on the grounds of the Cliffs. It would have been nice to have a small cafe or food supply on the property.
