Wonderful hotel with a lovely staff! It’s about 30 min away north of the airport, which makes it easy access to all the activities on the west coast while being in a quiet spot. The beach is very nice: both great for snorkeling and swimming and is protected in a cove. The rooms are very nice and well sound proofed. Great breakfast. Peaceful and lovely. Near to perfection!

The restaurants in the hotel are overall very expensive while the food is not very good. I had one of my worst burgers there, the meat patty seemed very low quality while it cost over 20 dollars (I couldn’t finish any of my meals there, except for their breakfasts and sushis that were good). There aren’t a lot of other restaurant options around so you can feel a bit trapped food-wise. The sofa bed was a bit worn out and could be updated.

Upgraded to an ocean view Queen suite. The upgrade price was higher than the quote. Management contacted me daily via text ensuring I was perfectly happy. Such a nice touch. The few requests I had for more towels, coffee and help with restaurant reservations at the binchotan bar and grill were acted on immediately! Great resort Mgr.

There was only one issue at the binchotan bar and grill receiving/hostess area. The ladies were surprisingly rude and I'm uncertain why as we were polite about the wait. Once seated, however, our server was amazing, accommodating, helpful with knowledgeable suggestions. The food was delicious as was all the food throughout the resort.

Snorkling, beach, pool, restaurants, luau

Requiring guests to pay $95 for a cabana seems ridiculous. They should be complimentary and there should be more umbrellas on the beach and at the pool as well. Hard to find shade!

We were upgraded to Oceanfront room for an additional 100 dollars and it was an excellent choice. The view was absolutely stunning and the best view I've ever had from the hotel room! I saw a variety of fish (sadly not turtles) when snorkeling and the dinner at Browns was delicous and eating while watching the sunset was so memorable and romantic (though pricey). I would like to recommend this place for those considering honeymoon.

Dinner at Browns was expensive though delicous. I only stayed for one night, wished I could have stayed for one more day.

Excellent location with stunning grounds. very attractive hotel

We booked and paid for 2 rooms with sea views. Unfortunately the rooms were side location at the back, no sun and you could not really see the sea through the trees. Very upsetting as they were not what we would consider a view of any description. We could not be moved as they were busy!!! we did manage to change one room but at an extra charge, not very satisfactory. Be warned when booking a sea view!!!

The pool was amazing! I loved the morning water aerobics class. Breakfast out doors every morning was spectacular. Great options on the menu.

It was hard to find lounge chairs in the shade if you did not arrive early enough. Some people just put out their stuff and never even sat in their chairs.

Beautiful resort my husband I enjoyed watching the sun set no need to travel off resort unless you want to tour other parts which is 45mins to an 1hr out we spent our honeymoon here and mainly relaxed and enjoyed each other and the scenery Definitely for the grown and sexy

In order to tour other parts we would need to rent a vehicle which would have been cool but we did not know until we were there

This property is pure thoughtful luxury. There are tropical waterfalls and Coi ponds scattered about to please the eye and ear. Numerous seating areas call to you to stop and relax in the shade of a palm tree or umbrella. The swimming pool curves invitingly between a broad green space and the ocean. Any staff one encounters seems pleased to meet you and deliver service to make you feel welcome and pampered. It is hard to leave.

Hawaii is expensive in every way. Staying at this property was no exception. However, we had to stay at a cheaper place for a few days before moving to this place and it did not compare to the Fairmont Orchid.

Absolutely gorgeous property!! All the amenities you needed in one place - perfect for relaxing.

The restaurants were quite expensive, so we often decided to get food elsewhere. Would be nice if they had a cheaper option for lunch or snacks!

The Fairmont Orchid is a stunning property. the accommodations were comfortable and plenty of amenities. we were gold guests and hotel staff was incredible… the lagoon has one of the best beaches!!! will be back again and again.
