Location was what made our stay especially enjoyable, including the dining areas and the lagoon for swimming and snorkeling.

Our check-in was frustrating. We couldn't get the key to work, came back to the desk to get a new key which still didn't work for us when we returned to the room , all the while carrying our luggage, at ages 83 and 85 not as easy as it used to be. With first failure it would have been nice if someone could have offered to come back to the room with us and we could have left our luggage some place because it could have just been that we didn't know how to work the key. We returned to the desk again and were given a key for a new room but it was a long way to the west wing. Check out went smoothly.

The reef out in the back of the property was full of fish and a nice sandy bottom. Probably the nicest snorkeling experience we had on island…and we had paid for boats to take us out. The staff was SO FRIENDLY…everyone said hello and was there to help. The view was not as advertised though. We made up for it by being on the go the whole week, but beware the listing for “ocean view” on booking.com it actually had view of the parking lot and a sliver of the lagoon. Save money and buy “garden view”. As hotels go though..this one wins for the amazing sandy beach right on the property!!!

View wasnt as stated. Cleaning room was every other day forcing us to retrieve supplies daily and call to have garbage emptied.

proximity to the ocean, information on the history of Hawaii, access to chairs and umbrellas for the beach, quick and effective check in.

we expected a full ocean view for the price we paid. Did not get that.

expensive . I’m retired so only one night there. they need to have a shower before going to the pool. I never got internet to work on my computer staff tried but failed

The smell of the lobby and rooms. Very cheap to buy fragrance distributor and enjoy good smell. Also when you call from your cell phone to the reception it take more than 15 minutes to receive an answer. unfortunately my points wasn't updated on the Bon Voy app.

I reserved a room at the property based on the small private beach and I wasn't disappointed. Although there are boats at docks nearby, the water was still clear enough to snorkel and see many fish. The early morning snorkel swim was the highlight of my stay with the tasty appetizer and cocktails the evening before a close second. All staff members were helpful, courteous and cheerful.

For the price point, it would have been better to not be charged for parking for an overnight stay. I don't mind paying the resort fee as it helps to maintain the higher level of service and convenience for travelers. Paying for parking when the lot is full is one thing; the lot was not even 25% full of vehicles so it seems an excessive charge.

Really nice Marriott, I’ve stayed in a few and this was the nicest and most comfortable out of all of them, and they’ve all be nice.

Location, grounds, friendly and very helpful staff. Also accommodating by bringing a roll out bed since it was 3 coworkers staying in the same room.

There was an old sock left in room from previous guest near the TV stand. There was no shower gel in bathroom to shower with - had to call for replacement. AND lastly when going to use the Coffee machine - there was and old cup of used coffee there that was not cleaned or removed.

we have stayed there many times, when it was cheaper. employees are terrific. room a bit small, but what do you expect for $500 a night? The only restaurant open consistently was the pool bar, but amazingly, the food is suddenly much better than it was. Almost worth what they charge.

insanely over-priced. I fear this much-loved Hotel will suffer as things get back to normal.
