Maui Kamaole

The property looked exactly in the pictures. The location was beautiful and a small walk to the ocean. I don’t know if I missed it in the description, but it was a pleasant surprise to have two full bathrooms in the condo with only one bedroom. There was seating outdoors and the owner had made sure that everything that you might need was available in the house. The kitchen had all appliances and pots and pan, even containers to pack lunch, water bottles. The house had all beach essentials that included towels, chairs, umbrella, sunscreen. The bathrooms were great too with all necessities and even a hair straightener!! we were also greeted with a bag of goodies packed in a beautiful bag that we kept as memorabilia. And some free tickets as well.

It was slightly hard to locate the unit as we arrived after the front desk was closed, but we did manage. The wifi didn’t work initially when we arrived and we had to put in a complaint the next day. It was immediately taken up and was fixed by the end of the day. same happened with the washer and it was promptly fixed.

We loved the SECOND condo we were given. Turns out the original booking the K111 was not only a dump but not cleaned when we got there at 10p after 12 hours of travel time. Great news is when we called we were given a fabulous condo - D101. The pictures of the condo we looked at was NOT the original condo we were given. Be careful for bait & switch.

Condo was very clean and pretty nicely stocked with the convenience of being at your own home away from home! Complete kitchen which we totally made good use of. Two bathrooms 👍, hop, skip and a jump from the pool🤙🏼keyless entry No human contact check in/out .

Such strict rules! Check in/out times are never fair, in my opinion. I’m sure there is a reason for this but it annoys me that they don’t allow you to check in until 4:00 pm, unless you get an ‘early check in’ text. Then the required check out time is 10:00 am. I was also not pleased with the parking situation. Some nights we came back to the property, only to find other vehicles parked in our reserved spot. When I called to complain/report, the woman nonchalantly told me to just go ahead and park in any other spot….which I felt was rude and annoying!! Luckily I have a handicapped placard, that I had to use several times on this trip due to someone else parking in our assigned spot!!

Our condo was a great size for our family and the location was fantastic. Our first night, we walked across the street to watch the sunset and saw turtles playing in the surf. We found fantastic snorkeling just a bit further down the beach. All within a short walk. The condo had plenty of kitchen supplies and linens. There were even beach toys, chairs, and towels. The beds were super comfortable. The fans and multiple balconies and windows provided great air flow so the temp was always comfortable. We loved eating out on the main balcony. We had such a lovely stay and highly recommend this rental for families.

There could have been a few more plates. There were only 6 dinner plates so we had to run the dishwasher after every meal. There also weren't any hot pads. These are super minor things and in no way took away from our wonderful stay.

Location, comfort, coziness, good vibes, quietness, lots of green and birds around, spacious rooms/kitchen, amenities (pool, hot-tub), beach/snorkeling gear included, convenient check-in/check-out.

Missing wifi network (probably a silly thing to fix, but we didn't bother), the air conditioner in the bedroom stopped working, and the ceiling fan in the bedroom was making a loud clicking noise (we had to set it to minimal speed to be able to sleep).

The apartment itself was great, clean, spacious, well stocked, overall a very good experience...however....

The absolute barrage of emails from Vacasa is simply unacceptable. Up to 9 a day, repeating the same thing over and over, not reading your responses. Even now a week after we left I'm getting 2 to 3 email from them a day. This continual spamming is a big issue and took a 5 star review down to a 1 star. They need to sort out their communications.

The apartment is big enough for our family. The house is well equipped with games for the kids, fully equipped kitchen to prepare the meals, lots of beach gears for us. The location is closed enough to everything, not walking distance but few minutes drive.

The internet is very slow. We are all have 5g phone and laptop but the place only provide 2.4h network. We had problem with loading up even small clip of video. Another thing, the dishwasher is not great at cleaning. We had to rewash or rinse every load. The master bed mattress is recommended to flip often otherwise it will sink to the middle when you lie down.

almost no hot water so if two or more people needed to shower they were in cold water with super low water pressure at the end stove top and oven did not work so plans to have breakfast at the condo needed adjustment but able to make some dinner food on outdoor grills

spacious, several amenities, easy check in/check out, no key needed for entrance, extra towels, laundry was very helpful to have too

not close walking distance to restaurants/shops even though some reviews said it was. there was also a lot of small bugs but that may have just been something everyone in hawaii deals with

The condo was wonderful, much larger than it appeared in the photos. The two separate bathrooms were perfect for our family of 3. The location was great, at the very end of Kihei-- quiet, but close enough to restaurants and beaches. We especially loved the huge ground-level lanai and enjoyed coffee and breakfast out there every morning and just chilling in the evenings.
