Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago North Shore Deerfield

Nice hotel, suite was very nice but could use some updating. For example, the caulking and tub floor in room 238 was old and moldy looking. The toilet, sink floor etc was just outdated. It was clean so that was a plus. The bed was very comfy. The staff could be friendlier. On check -out, front desk did not care to ask how our stay was or even thank us for staying. She just printed my bill, placed it on the counter, turned and started doing something else. I found that to he quite unprofessional. I had the same lady at check-in, she in error told me my payment didn't go through (although it did) in front of a lobby full of people. She then said, "oh we can handle this when you check- out." She never mentioned it or apologized for her error when we checked out the next morning.

Better customer service. Staff should be friendlier and say thank you, and ask how was your stay. Just normal customer service.

King bed was very comfortable; many pillows, and with good loft; blanketing was a proper weight, linens were of good quality. Room size was alright for the price - we enjoyed the separation of bedroom and live/work space. Pool area was clean and well-stocked. Breakfast area was clean, and the food was better than average. Comp'd adult beverages each day were welcome - thanks!

we had fun in the pool, though it was small and quite restrictive toward young people. While the breakfast was decent, there were little problems like cups running out, or flatware running out. Overall, this isn't the most welcoming place for families with young ones. Seemed much more about serving a business clientele. Not a problem for us as we made our own fun. The location is quite out of the way for Downtown activities. Our room was directly above the outdoor smoking area, and the smell of pot was evident many times, and the smokers were loud at night.

Cleanliness of all hotel areas and the suite itself, all very well looked after. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks on offer were brilliant. Facilities are excellent for the hotel and price. The rooms are a fantastic size, and importantly, the bed, pillows and linen were all so comfy, and it offers a fantastic night's sleep. Great location with everything you need within a short drive.

The breakfast is always good and plenty of choices. The "happy hour" is also wonderful. The suite set up is great. That is why we like to stay at Embassy Suites. The fact that the hotel is pet friendly is wonderful. The side door to the pet area near the elevators was easy and great.

The hotel in general needed a "facelift" The walls need painting or new wallpaper. The bathroom tile needed freshening up with new grout. Couldn't find a thermostat in the room.

I enjoyed the spacious rooms, the sheets were smooth and comfortable as were the pillows. The thick curtains kept the light out from both the outside sunlight and the inside lobby. The included breakfast is the best deal around, a family of 4 going out to eat can easily be over $40/$50. So it’s a good steal of a deal they offer.

Going on a softball tournament weekend was a bit rowdy when hitting the pool up after a long adventure day and just trying to relax. But it’s not the properties fault, kids will be kids. My only two things were there was no fan or vent flow option in the bathroom so it can get moist in there, and using the AC in the room, you had set the digital number lower to actually feel like the proper temperature. But the room did cool off to make it comfortable and Sleep-able.

Clean, spacious rooms, well equipped and comfortable. A little noisy on Saturday night due to some events, but overall OK. The breakfast was probably the best I had all week in the US - the omelettes were particularly good. While a little out of town and not ideal for public transport (train service to & from the nearest train stations was once every 2 hours on the weekend)

A little noisy on Saturday night. Restaurant being closed on Sundays and Mondays at the moment - due to lack of staff - wasn't great, but there were a few options for food within a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive, and some delivery options too. No significant complaints though.

The food and service provided by the overall staff was professional and inviting. The place was super clean and restaurant was delicious!

The front desk clerk (female) was not the friendliest person when checking in and she never returned a smile when greeted in the morning.

My experience was very exceptional with the breakfast service and overall friendl;ness of the staff, the rooms were very cozy and clean. I felt very safe in this location. Had a wonderful stay. I will come back again.

Amazing is all I can say! This place has comfortable beds, great shower pressure, and the breakfast is like no other! This is my families go to when we visit Chicago, feels like the downtown hospitality without the congestion.. well done!

The staff were quick and gave great service. Our room was clean and I love the layout. I might have been exhausted but as soon as I hit the pillow I was out. The bed was warm and comfortable. I felt safe here inside and outside of my room. I am adding this hotel as one of my favorites.

It wasn’t too bad, but we could hear our neighboring rooms conversation. After hours they were respectable and quiet. We slept soundly that night. Due to low staffing the hotel restaurant was closed. The layout was so nice and the menu looked delicious. I would have enjoyed eating there.
