The cabins are very clean and comfortable. We rented 2 cabins and requested that they were close and we were given rooms connected by a door. The staff is very welcoming. The location is fantastic…. Within walking distance of all the trails. My kids loved the pool and the hiking trails. The hiking trails are beautiful and lots of fun. There’s even a section with ladders. There’s also lots of playgrounds. We came in early April and it was not crowded.

I think the dinner buffet could be improved. And it would be nice if there was some fresh fruit at breakfast. I will bring food for future trips honestly. It would also be nice to have more picnic tables near the cabins.

It was beautiful and well taken care of.

The restaurant wasn’t up to par with the rest of the hotel. I didn’t like that the breakfast and dinner were buffet only, we have dietary restrictions which make it difficult to eat a buffet. lunch off the menu was delicious. the food on the buffet didn’t taste good. the fried chicken was good but on the nights they did the baked chicken, it was so dry it was almost inedible. That’s the only thing I wish was different about the stay, I wish we could have picked off the menu for all the meals we ate there.

Gorgeous location. It was great to have a few trails so close to the inn and the indoor pool was nice as well.

For some reason, my room wasn’t cleaned during my stay, it looked like they were about to clean right after I checked out. I had dinner at the restaurant at the inn in my first night and waited an unusually long time to get seated. I was told that multiple staff had walked out that night which caused the delay. The remaining staff did their best and even offered free salad bar to guests to make up for the wait which was nice.

Stayed iin a cabin. Loved being able to go straight outside from our room door.. being able to open the windows was nice. Loved the location of the cabin. I feel we were in the best spot. The park is the best state park in my opinion.

Room was cramped with four people in it. Beds have springs in them. Had ants very bad. Couldn't leave anything out for more than five minutes before it was invaded by ants. No wifi in the cabin. Only hotel lobby. Walls are mostly soundproof except when the neighbors are bouncing off the walls.

Everything was quite nice! The Inn is older, but I do love the character and history! It's an iconic little Inn and we love coming here.

My only negative comment are that the walls are PAPER THIN! I respectfully understand this is due to the age of the Inn and I totally get that. I think most people that stay there often, understand this. It might be helpful if Staff could make an effort or set out a sign to let guests know that the hallways, up where the rooms are, are a "Quiet Zone". I know in the end it's up to the guests to be quiet, but if they've never stayed there, they are certainly not aware of much the noise really travels down those halls. Perhaps, if they were made aware? Could a gentle "FYI - be quiet in the halls" encourage guests to be considerate (at least at night) when walking to their rooms?

Wait staff in the dining room were excellent. Loved our room (I think room 210 was the best in the inn -- lots of windows!). Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. And, of course, the park itself is fantastic -- my new favorite state park!

There are no electric vehicle/Tesla charging stations at the inn. I had seen a website that indicated charging stations were being installed in state parks in 2016, but my husband could find no info on one at Turkey Run, so we took the gas-powered engine and it's a good thing we did.

We enjoyed the location and the hiking. The front desk was helpful in providing any information we needed about our stay, and we enjoyed spending time together as a family by the fireplace in the great room. The pool was well kept, and the trails were easy to find and follow.

The food was good, but the staff serving was unreliable and a little rude. We checked with the front desk multiple times about the hours the dining room would be open, but when we would go to the dining room the staff there would tell me that it was now closed. Granted, this was around Christmas time so I understand things are not always going to be "business as usual", but we missed a few meals because of this and it was frustrating. We also were rushed out a few times, with staff telling us that we needed to get out as soon as we were done eating, even though they weren't scheduled to close for at least another hour.

It's right in the park and was a short drive to the trails. There was some within walking distance of the Inn but we didn't do those. Although you had to pay for breakfast the price was really good. Our room was the perfect size for me and my son but smaller than most rooms we have stayed in. The pool was open and they had a really nice veranda we would have enjoyed more if it was warmer.

For the smallish room and no free breakfast it was more expensive then I would typically spend for a room. I'm sure that's part of being in a state park.

The location of the Inn was way better than I expected. I loved being within walking distance of all the trails. Also, I really enjoyed having a mini fridge and microwave, as well as a little table in the room. It was also quiet and we were able to get some sleep. The restaurant had a good variety of food and the prices were reasonable. I felt very at ease the entire time, even though I was traveling alone with three children.

I can’t really think of anything that would have made our stay better.

I loved the staff. They were very polite and professional. The room was way better than I thought it would be. I was able to check in early and check out a little bit later. I will be back!

I was not expecting a buffet only restaurant. Dinner was a little pricey for not having any seafood options. I was also surprised that the room key cards are turned off before your checkout time. Luckily I was still in the room when my friend realized his key card was deactivated 30 minutes before 11 am checkout.
