Super 8 by Wyndham Cedar Falls

I liked the location. The breakfast was good (we had to heat it up in the microwave to get it to our liking). I liked the fact that they had lots of options: cereal, bagels, muffins, toast, eggs (scrambled and hard-boiled), sausage, french toast, waffles, biscuits & gravy. They also had a wide assortment of things to drink: teas, hot chocolate, coffee, orange juice and apple juice. The room was spacious. We liked the view outside our window. We watched the birds and the bunny rabbits play every morning.

They did not have a tea/coffee maker in our room as advertised. We were able to get some in the lobby for the first few days. After that the regular coffee side of the machine was not working. They moved the regular coffee to the other side where the decaf was so that we could get coffee. They said that they were in the process of getting a new coffee machine. There was a big stain on the floor of the room right in front of the sofa.

Breakfast was my only disappointment. I didn't eat until around 7:30 but the eggs were crusty and dried little pieces, the gravy was at a rolling boil in the crockpot ( and was all separated into 3 different liquids) and the biscuits were rock hard. I don't like to waste food but threw most of it away. The coffee was good and I had a good bagel. I did tell the front desk that things were boiling and drying out - I don't like to complain but didn't want the food ruined even more. Otherwise, I was very happy with the hotel.

From the moment we entered, staff was friendly and helpful. I had to sleep on the couch and it was actually the best sleep I've had in a long time! The spread for breakfast was amazing!! Also, my son forgot his air pods and I made a call as soon as we noticed and they had em waiting for us at the front counter...3 hrs later!! Thank you!!

Only complaint I have was our bathroom smelled a lil funky...like sweaty socks lol but it was clean. Thank you Super 8!

The housekeeper was great. She was still there cleaning at 4 when I checked in. My room was missing it's TV remote. She came in to see if it was misplaced, she went and got another. Said they were so understaffed, she didn't know when she would get done, only housekeeper that day.

When I got there nobody at desk, waited 10 minutes, yelling if there was anyone there. Finally saw the phone and remembered at most hotels it's dial 1 or 0 for staff. Dialed 0 and got someone. At first she wasn't happy that I had been yelling for help. Then questioned how i knew it dial 0 for assistance. Once she got to the desk, she realized the sign saying dial 0 for assistance wasn't there and then she apologized

Was cozy and comfortable, amazing accessibility, and friendly staff. Location is great being right of the highway and major roads that connect through town.

The air flow was not very good… You had to stand very close to the AC in order to feel it. A comfy chair would’ve been nice since they only give you one chair at the desk and there is definitely space in the room for one.

For the price, the room was very comfortable and met my expectations. It appears as if the property was recently renovated, and although there was nothing fancy about the Super 8, it was very practical, clean, and comfortable. Definitely a case of functionality over fancy design.

The only slight negative was the fact that the cable television was not set up correctly (due to a recent renovation and installation). However, the maintenance staff quickly resolved the situation and were accommodating.

Breakfast variety was a nice surprise.:, tasty fresh and comfortable room.

Coffee should be available during the night for us who are looking for a place to work or read after our wife is fast asleep

Breakfast was awesome, so many selections, of different items to choose from, my kids loved it also. And the juice was unlimited all day, can't beat that.

I went into my room and there was a maintenance guy in my room working on the AC scared me so bad to open my door and see someone in my room. The lady switched me to another room, and that room smelled like old pool water or something. All she did was give me air freshener

Location was good but not much around the hotel. Restaurants within walking distance for example. Was happy that they opened the pool but we didn't have much time to enjoy it.

No elevator was a big deal. Especially with a big suitcase. A warning would be nice I saw in the reviews that there was no elevator but it was too late to do anything about it. I was told when we checked in, that they just finished cleaning our room. When we got there, the toilet paper was almost empty and spiders in the tub. The tub was also clogged. They came up and checked it out but the next time it was still clogged. Taking a shower and by the time you end, you are standing in a lot of water.

Room close to front door, easily accessible to walk the dog. Nice breakfast options. I liked having hot water for tea anytime.

Sunday morning breakfast was busy and there was no visible staff to refill napkins, cups, tea or to clean up. This was 8:30
