Hotel Blackhawk, Autograph Collection

This is a beautiful property and located in a great area. We had a standard double room that had a couch, TV, refrigerator and the beds and bathroom were in another room. The room was classy and comfortable. Everyone both staff and guests are very friendly. I stayed her in August and then again on 12/30 when it was decorated for Christmas. A very welcoming feel to the hotel itself.

It’s and older property, but honestly, what took away from it a bit was the wallpaper peeling back in hallways and the room. Seeing the property is so pretty and has such a great feel when you are in it, that minor, possible easy fix would make a huge difference and polish the look of the hotel.

Stylish and elegant entrance; big and very comfortable room; good shower and excellent bath for lying in and reading a book; chaise longue was a treat for flopping about on; food in the restaurant was excellent. Sadly the pool was closed for renovation. Do visit the excellent Figge Art Museum just down the road if you have an hour or two.

I like there is a restaurant on site. Food prices are a little high but we ordered breakfast and the portions were a good size and it was delicious! I liked there was room service and the pool was open. My room was clean and comfy. Staff was all friendly and helpful. There's also bowling and a bar here.

I wish room service had regular options all day like cookies, French fries, mozzarella sticks etc.

I had high expectations because the Blackhawk is one of the Historic Hotels of America. The grand lobby is luxurious and comfortable and I always like hotels that have chairs placed in front of the registration counter. My room was quite large with a separate living area. I wasn't sure if this was an upgrade or the standard layout. The pool was a nice added extra and pretty large. The hotel is near an interesting restaurant called Duck City and there are a couple of bars nearby as well. Also close by is the Figge Museum with many Grant Wood paintings and some Frank Lloyd Wright furniture. Overall, an excellent refuge in a city that seems to be having some challenging times.

It would have been nice if the registration folks had mentioned that there's free parking in the large lot on the side of the hotel and that no password is needed for the Wi-fi.

Beautiful property, amazing amenities and super comfortable bed!

The parking situation is ridiculous and super antiquated. There was a line up of several cars to get out because the gate situation was not working

Great experience start to finish . Everyone from the Greeter , front desk staff , waitress at Bix , room service staff , and even the amazing house keeping was top notch . The room was fabulous as was the stay . Well don’t and highly recommend.

We did not partake of the continental breakfast.

The refrigerators in rooms need to be defrosted more often. The balcony rooms have cigarette disposal ashtrays on walls that are not emptied. My wife started a smoldering fire in room 811 that I poured water into the cigarette butt container to extinguish. Other than that, we had a first class stay, enjoyed the view, and slept well.

Beautiful hotel fun pool area

The tile floors around the pool were very slick, like the cleaning chemicals with the splashed water made it difficult and almost scary to walk on just the tile barefoot. My 3yo slipped twice walking and I nearly feel just walking to the pool. The basement bowling alley isn’t really kid friendly on the weekend and they were hosting a 40th birthday, had two broken alleys so we had to take the kids bowling elsewhere since we had gotten them excited to go before we checked it out.

We had a dance recital at the River Center and it was convenient for us to be right next to that building! It is within walking distance of several bars/restaurants downtown Davenport!

When we got back to the hotel the parking lot was full, I don’t think they monitor if it’s guest or just people parking in the lot.

Great comfortable suits, will be back in the future

The restaurant is the only complaint. Dinner was ok, few options, and waitress got my order wrong twice. Not to mention not thoroughly cooked steak that I threw up after an hour. Only received a free desert because of the order mix up.
