Hyatt Place at Wichita State University

Everything about our stay was wonderful. It was located in a beautiful neighborhood and pretty convenient for our family's activities. Breakfast was top-notch and the facility and room very clean. Staff was always busy keeping everything going smoothly.

Second time at this fantastic property. Favorite place to stay when in Wichita, highly recommend. lots of natural light, exceptionally clean, great linens, nice breakfast selection, quiet, safe, couldn’t ask for more.

New hotel, super clean, great location on WSU campus. Different hot breakfast items daily. Large windows, comfortable bed, nice seating area for working in the room.

Only improvement would be a stronger showerhead.

I love the staff front desk staff we're so wonderful and very friendly, helpful and the staff in the breakfast area are very friendly, helpful and the breakfast was so delicious and housekeepers are so on point in cleaning the rooms I have no Complaints everything was so clean thank you so much I enjoyed every moment keep up the awesome job everyone it was a 10/10

,I get the covid situation where some hotels will only housekeep every 4th day. This should be reflected in the price or options should be given for daily cleaning at an added cost. If we had towels like at home instead of the hotel variety it would be easier to accept a "weekly" room clean. You can ask for more, but this is just an added hassle. Otherwise, it is one of the best stay experiences I have had recently.

Great location near the campus and breakfast was great - lots of options.

The shower in the room needs repair. The diverter was not working correctly, causing too much water to build up in the tub and the shower head to have low water pressure. Beds need better pillows. The pillows go flat and offer no support.

Location made it easy to get places to eat or shop. Enjoyed walking around the area with the pond close by. Liked the tile floors, evidence that the floors were clean and not questionable like carpet. Just my personal preference. Spacious room for our whole family and breakfast was tasty!

Staff was very helpful, particularly the woman who checked us in. She checked us in in a friendly and helpful manner, in spite of the fact that she was the only staff person at the desk/lobby area, which was filled with people. She was not only working the front desk, but managing the requests of the people sitting in the lounge area, filling drink orders, etc. We appreciated that hotel staff was wearing masks. Hand sanitizer was plentifully provided.

Hotels have a special responsibility in diminishing the spread of Covid-19, and we were disappointed to see that most guests were not wearing masks in common areas. At the time of our stay the region was only at 38% vaccinated, with 39 reported cases on that day. Having people travel around from region to region could create additional spikes in the infection rate. Hotels can be more assertive in requesting that guests continue to mask and distance in social areas.

This is a pet friendly hotel and the size and price of the room was very accommodating for two people and two dogs. The location is blocks away from a lot of parks and dining. Only downside was very expensive bar drinks/food with a limited menu. Would recommend!
