The North Star Inn0

This is a small, privately owned facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and decorated tastefully. For being close to the interstate, there was very little road noise. We were able to park directly in front of the room, making loading and unloading a cinch. The continental breakfast was sufficient for the start of the day.

There could be some updates to make this an even better place to stay. The air conditioner struggled to keep up. The bottom plug of the outlet on the right side of the bed didn't work so we had to plug and unplug the lamp in order to use the outlet. The only restaurant at this exit was a local truck stop/restaurant.

Has charm and seemed clean. Fair price; easy location to find; staff were very pleasant and helpful: most of the guests were there to visit the Ark Encounter so it was fun chatting with them.

Eat before you get there because the only restaurant nearby is the Noble Truck Stop... we don't recommend it. Motel...squeaky bed, very noisy air conditioner, bad shower nozzle, many high carb breakfast options with only hard boiled eggs as protein.

The check-in process went smoothly. I had questions before I arrived and sent a message to the staff and someone responded promptly. I'd requested a room facing the woods and the staff was able to accommodate. The room was very charming and very clean! Some reviews I read stated the rooms were way too small, but I live in a small house and usually travel in a small camper, so I felt the room size was more than adequate; that's just individual perspective. We had trouble finding channels on the TV and I called the desk; someone came immediately to our room and showed us how to use it. Internet was fast and TV was crystal clear with a plethora of channels. The kitchenette was perfect for us. Please be advised there are no dishes (no dishwasher, so hygiene may be the reason why dishes are not provided), but the staff will gladly provide plastic tableware. The bathroom had a good deep tub. Hot water/pressure was great. The bed was firm, but again, individual preference. The café is permanently closed but a continental breakfast is provided from 8a-10a. if you prefer a full breakfast, you can either bring your own food and utilize the kitchenette, or try Noble's Truck Stop which is 0.4 miles away and they have fantastic food! In all, I loved the room and the staff was top notch; I would definitely stay again!

There was nothing at this inn I did NOT like.

The place was a breath of fresh air! I have never checked into a hotel or a motel that gave you a nice note card welcoming you and thanking you for your stay. It was very convenient to our visit to Noah's Ark. Place was super clean. Staff/owners were friendly and very accommodating. We felt like we were home especially since we had just driven across country and were heading back home to Maryland with over 8,000 miles behind us. They offered a continental breakfast but we slept in!

That we would have loved to have stayed longer! but we were heading home. There is nothing bad to say about The North Star Inn. Because they took pride in their Inn. Nothing bad to say. Keep up the good work!

When we arrived, there were 2 bottles of water, 2 granola bars and a Thank you card from the Inn. Clean, comfortable beds and bedding. Clean bathroom. A nice clean room period, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

For us elderly people, there was no safety bar attached in the shower/tub combo. And only one small mirror in the bathroom. If you have several guest in one room, you have to stagger your time at the sink and mirror. A mirror could be placed on the wall next to the kitchenette. There is an electrical outlet there and another sink. That way, two people can get ready at the same time. But overall, it's a very nice little Inn to stay at. I give it 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were very pleased with the accommodations considering the price. The staff couldn't have been nicer and the rooms were very neat and clean. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was adequate and typical to any other continental breakfast. I highly recommend this motel and will definitely use it again if in the area.

A place for four to play cards. The staff was kind enough to bring us a table and we improvised the seating.

Staff was excellent! Room was small but very cute. comfortable bed but those pillows need some TLC! Neck cramp central. The bath and shower were amazing, the kind you look forward to after a long day. We had a adorable welcome letter with some bottles of water, awesome touch. Great selection in TV channels and a gas station with “cheap” gas close by, not to mention right by the interstate so back on the road in no time. Affordable pet fee. Nice continental breakfast, really brought back those pre Covid days when life was more enjoyable. Would recommend to any friend!

Pillows were my only complaint.

I loved everything except the bed. It was too firm for my sister and I. The price was very reasonable. The staff was very friendly. I liked that you were welcomed with a note from the staff. My sister travels quite a bit and has never seen a welcome note left in her room. We liked that it was a quiet area and not alot of traffic. Will stay there again in the near future.

The bed was ok just too firm of a mattress for us. Would have loved to try out the cafe, but unfortunately it was closed.

The continental breakfast decent partner said they need biscuits and gravey😉. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and no smell like some hotels even the big chains.

Shower ran all time while running the tub. Wasn't a big problem though. Website needs to be updated that the Cafe is closed

I loved the personal hand touch of the pretty note left in the room to answer my questions and welcome us. It is the small things of kindness in life that mean a lot and can make all the difference. Thank you for making our stay affordable to see God's incredible Creation Museum and The Ark Encounter. The North Star went right along with our enjoyable trip.

I was sad the restaurant was closed due to the circumstances in the times the world is in today as I read great reviews about their food. It looked cozy. I wish they offered a bit better variety for the continental breakfast for being gluten free.
