Loved our 3rd floor, river view balcony room! See photo of sunset from our balcony. Breakfast was great, staff was so friendly and helpful. The location right on the Ohio River was wonderful, with easy access to the river walk and nearby shops and restaurants.

Asked twice one day to have our trash cans emptied and never happened, so I took it down to the front desk myself. A minor glitch to an otherwise wonderful experience.

The staff was very friendly with my kids. The kids loved the pool as well. We're glad it was salt water. They gave us new towels daily! (A lot of other hotels now, you have to ask for new ones at the front desk).

I wish hotels (it's not just this one) would go back to fixing bed again; having fully tucked sheets is the best thing about hotel stays.

We loved everything about the service and employees at The Hotel and Restaurant. Our Room was fantastic and We absolutely loved Our View of The River and Fireworks on 4th of July.

The Pool was alittle cold even after swimming for awhile and filled to the top. we had other kids jumping in and making the water turn into waves pretty much splashing up into my kids face who both struggle with Swimming so we didn't stay long in the pool.Which was not the hotels fault what so ever but wanted to give a heads up to others with small children.

Anytime I travel to Owensboro I stay at the Holiday Inn without question. The hotel is just outside of downtown Owensboro with little to no noise. However, last time we stayed at the hotel we booked a river view room, and just our luck there was a 5K coming through downtown by the riverbank. I was woken up to cheering support for the runners. My advice would be to check local events before booking the river view suites, if not the city view is just as nice! Burger Theory (restaurant in the lobby) is wonderful! Breakfast and dinner are great, good selection of local breweries and spirits. There is a nicely stocked snack bar in the lobby, you can pay cash or charge to your room. The staff is always polite and quick to assist with any questions or needs. Parking is never an issue and it's free! If you don't drive there is a trolley (free as well) that has an established route around the downtown area which picks you up at the front door. Downtown Owensboro is very walkable with a beautiful riverfront fountain/park area.

Nothing to dislike.

No complaints about the hotel but we were I. town to see a concert, got back to the hotel at 9:30 hoping to get a bite to eat. only one bartender and one server working while people lined up to eat after the concert. burger Theory might want to plan to be open later and have more staff on hand on nights when there is an event in town.

The room was clean, and roomy. I would stay here again.

Laying in the bed watching was comfortable but sleeping overnight prove to be uncomfortable. My body ached after getting out of the bed. Coil spring beds will cause pressure points on the body. It did mine. Could be the bed is getting wore out. Also the Hall way entrance ceiling light was not working and the floor lamp bulb was missing.

AMAZING room! Huge with a perfect view. The servers were so sweet at the restaurant!

The cook kinda sucked at the restaurant. All breakfasts were overcooked. Wish the pool was heated outdoors and bigger.

Wonderful location and view. Very open concept with good admentities.

There were some items in the bathroom that could've been cleaner. Also did notice some stains on the beds comforter. Overall good cleanliness.

There was no room service the entire four nights. We had to come down for toliet paper and fresh towels. The bar tenders were very rude, every night. But our server was super friendly!

The staff was kind and helpful. The location is gorgeous, along the Ohio River. We intended to stop for one night but extended our stay to see more of Owensboro and enjoy the hotel! The day manager suggested we walk along the river to enjoy Owensboro’s river walk and we did, to our great enjoyment! Absolutely gorgeous! Many benches and swings to just sit and enjoy the river and the children’s park.

Not much! The restaurant could have had more choices, but we enjoyed our meals.
