Its location in town. Nearby walking trail. History of the building. Diner and bar immediately next door. Comfortable bed. Owner and staff very welcoming, hospitable and accommodating.

Discovered on arrival that the room booked did not have a window and was fully enclosed with only artificial light and air con. Nothing was stated on Booking.com about this. This needs to be amended by Booking.com as it’s unfair that this could impact on the owners business which is not deserved.

A charming hotel in a perfect location to driving down the downstream section of the Great River Road and visit plantations along the way. Bedrooms are quiet and nicely arranged in a Louisiana style. There is a large parking place next to the hotel. Good food is served at the restaurant, and Gonzales offers a large choice of restaurants at a 30-min drive from the hotel. It's worth visiting the residential area with typical Louisiana-style houses nearby the hotel.

Loved that it was an old building converted to a Hotel. The staff was wonderful and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Very nice linens. Bathroom was well stocked and had large soft towels. Bathroom was exceptionally clean. Beautiful hardwood floors which is usually hard to keep very clean but it passed my white socks test with ease. Even the baseboards were clean!!! Our room had high ceilings which made it feel even more spacious. Great breakfast in its restaurant connected. The food was inexpensive and wonderfully prepared. It is a small hotel compared to the usual but this place is definitely NOT the usual! We will come back here to visit again just so we can stay here again! It is a GEM! If you are planning to stay in this area we HIGHLY recommend it. You do not need to look at any other choices. THIS IS IT!

Could use a small night stand on the other side of bed as well.

Stayed for 4 nights. Lovely place located in a renovated and partly converted historic building in close proximity to the Mississippi River and historic Donaldsonville. Very friendly and helpful staff. We got assigned to a spacious room with a large window-front (but there's indeed windowless rooms there as well...). The room was quiet and clean with comfortable bed, a fridge and a tv-set. We'd definitely stay here again if we're ever back this way...

Some hooks in the bathroom and at the sink to hang up a towel or some clothes would be nice. No complaints otherwise.

Very clean! Friendly staff! Beds were comfortable! Nice and quiet! It was nice to have a place to eat inside the hotel! I would stay here again.

The only setback was no elevator. You have to walk up several flights of stairs to get to room. I was traveling with an elderly person and one with bad knees. Also hard to get luggage up and down the stairs.

Clean, quiet, and ran by really good people! Love that they have a diner on the first floor. Makes it really easy to get a meal after work. The food is EXCELLENT too!!!

Nothing!

We loved the Inn. It was in an old building in an old town and the owners were very kind. The restaurant connected to it had really great BBQ. Great location to head to Oak Alley Plantation and the others!

There was no breakfast included. It was a basic room, nothing overly exciting and you can't see the river easily.

A delightful town and owners proud of their heritage made this stay exceptional. We'd love to come back some day! This is not a standard motel, but a place with a character of its own. Loved it!

There was no breakfast included, but enough places close by to find it. So actually, nothing was ☹️

Spacious room in an interesting converted building. The design of the building is open and unconventional. Location is in the old town across from the Mississippi River Levee. It is enjoyable to walk in the levee. Rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable, and our room had a full refrigerator, which was a plus. We visited Plantations from this location.

It was hard to get luggage up the flight of stairs. Availablity of coffee would be nice, as we did not find much in the town.
