We were there for our grandson’s wedding & reception. Short of Dunleith, Natchez, MS., where our Granddaughter had her Reception, they couldn’t have picked a better venue! The staff was exceptional, grounds lovely, Nottoway itself, beautiful. Our rooms were clean & comfortable. After getting home, my husband realized that his wallet was missing. He thought it must have fallen out of his pocket when dancing at the Reception. Our grandson & bride had stayed another night. He reported it to the front desk. We had given up hope after nearly 2 weeks passed. My heart skipped a beat, all those days later when a call came through from Nottoway (I’m so sorry I didn’t write her name down) saying his wallet had been found !! Apparently, it had gotten knocked off the Dresser & been pushed just underneath. A member of your cleaning staff had found it & turned it in! Your Representative kindly agreed to mail it to us (it still had a $20.00 bill to cover shipping & handling.) We received it within days! This speaks volumes to your cleaning crew & staff! You have our undying gratitude. ❤️ One more thing. Being in our 70’s, we left the Reception to go back to our room around 11:00 o’clock P.M. We were told the party raged on until 3:00 A.M. ‼️ Ending with the entire wedding party jumping into your pool! NEVER, were they told to “Keep it Down!”

Not a thing! Everything exceeded our expectations!

Grounds were beautiful. Woke up the next morning with a steamboat anchored across the levee. Picture perfect

We LOVED the front porch and could hear the bull frogs in the early evening. The restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful.

There was nothing we didn't like. I think Nottoway had just reopened. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful cabin, with an incredible bathroom, the place is a dream!

Streets on the way there are very dark at night, scary dark!

Our cottage was spacious and comfortable. The tour of the mansion was great, the tour guide knew all there was to know about the property, he was great. Every housekeeping employee we came across was so pleasant, greeted us anytime we saw them and were so nice.

We were disappointed when we arrived learning that the restaurant wouldn't be open for dinner. The front desk said they had all staff work for lunch so they didn't have employees to work the night shift. We weren't the only guests disappointed by this. We know it was Thanksgiving day but if you advertise the property as a 'resort', no matter the holiday the amenities should be available, especially the only restaurant on property. We went for breakfast the next morning. The food was mediocre at best. The food was barely warm and the coffee was room temperature. Staff was not attentive. We were only the second table in there and we had to find the waitress when we needed something.

Gorgeous setting! Beautiful grounds. Historic. Beautiful patio restaurant. Nice bar. Nice visitor shop. Great food at restaurant with very friendly staff. Maintenance women very helpful.

Got locked out of room! Did not receive another key- instead at 2am a security man had to open door. Had to drive to pick him up at office so had a strange man in my car and with access to my room! Furious! Smoke alarm went off 15 minutes after arrival. Maintenance responded quickly and when new battery didn't solve the problem, alarm was removed from the ceiling...for entire stay. Bar & Restaurant had limited hours. Pool area has not been repaired and although a beautiful setting, it looked nasty. Whirlpool is boarded up.
