Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Lake Charles South, an IHG Hotel

I was in town for a funeral and the property was in the perfect place for me to be near the church, funeral home and the rest of my family. the staff was super friendly and inviting. I can’t remember the name of the two receptionist that were present when I checked in but they definitely made a great impression and I’d recommend this hotel to others. The facilities were clean and nicely decorated for Christmas season, the room was clean and would have passed the white glove test. lol. I drove 4 hours to get there and it was perfect for the rest that I needed.

I love the Holiday Inn and Suites. I stay there when ever I am in need of a hotel.. Their beds are always comfortable and extremely clean... I have never had an issue with the rooms that I have stayed in. What I have an issue with is when I request an earlier check in or later check out being I am a VIP customer you would think that it wouldn't be an issue, but every time I request it, it can never be done even though it is an accommodation they extend to VIP Members... Why????

I am not sure of the young lady’s name at the front counter. Young Caucasian female with black hair. Worked there most evenings. Extremely courteous and always greeting you when you come in the door.

The location is a little bit run down, but the actual facilities are very well-maintained. I stayed there multiple times over the last six or so years.

The hotel.was clean and the rooms was really spacious. I like the location. Not to.far from.the casinos. The breakfast was really good.

The TVs was too small in both living g and bed room.. other than that not much to complain about

Cleaning staff failed to fully close our door after cleanup. That was a little unsettling when we arrived back at the hotel that evening. The ice machine on our floor did not work.

I didn’t eat breakfast at this hotel. It was not included with my booking so I ate elsewhere

Overall the stay was excellent. Access was fine, location was fine and there was no trouble in or around the hotel.

Everything was clean…..we were actually staying at another hotel but checked out the following morning because of the uncleanliness of the facility. This hotel was the total opposite from where we came from.

At the time of our stay, they were remodeling the dining room/bar area. It wasn’t a big disappointment because we knew they were only upgrading for future guest.

The flexibility of finding a room in short notice as well as the promptness in obtaining confirmation of the room being ready. The staff was welcoming and available when needed. The room temperature was also very comfortable.

A bit hidden but quick to locate. I would've liked some patrol after 10pm for the protection of women and children. I did missed the breakfast in the morning since we had to order and usually is setup.

Room where very clean. Space was just right.

Bathroom tub had a little mode around the tub. Low on towels toilet tissue was low and face tissue where completely empty.

Prompt check in. Extremely clean. Very responsive staff. **left a personal item in the room and was able to retrieve it 2 days later. I was SO grateful.
