Comfort Inn & Suites Slidell

Clean, nice rooms, well taken care of. Very Friendly helpful staff. Laundry room clean and working well. Nice assortment of breakfast offerings if you got there early enough? Comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfast offerings for hot food changed daily. Ie scrambled eggs or flat eggs,

While the breakfast appeared to have many lovely offerings , between 8-9 am there was almost nothing still available. The staff seemed oblivious that there was no orange juice, eggs, bagels, or things other than waffles. Not sure if this was to keep people from eating much or that they ran out or just didn't replenish. Fresh fruit would have been really appreciated. Some people don't eat all the pre prepared cereals, bread , waffles etc and want something without sugar. THE INTERNET WAS TERRIBLE. Most of the time I couldn't stay connected even for a few minutes. I couldn't get my boarding pass with no internet or functioning printer.

The stay here was very good. The room was very clean, modern, and spacious. The housekeeping Staff and front desk was very helpful. The breakfast was good, and the layout of the hotel is very nice. At the time of this review there is some road construction near by, but it didn't effect the quality of stay in any way. The beds are your typical hotel beds,comfortable enough to get rest in after the long drive on the road, but not meant to sleep in  for 12 hours. I wouldn't give that a bad point towards the overall confort because all hotel bed feel like that. If you're a person who likes a medium hard bed then this is a good thing. I'm a medium soft bed person that understands what I'm get when i book the hotel as far as bedding is concerned.

It was a good stay

The staff (front desk and housekeeping) was amazing! Every single person I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, and there were a variety of options. It's also close to other food spots. The gym was basic, but you could get a good workout in there (but there was no AC). The room was nice and clean and had everything I needed.

The water pressure was not good in my room and the hot water didn't get as hot as I would have liked.

We loved Remy. He is a gem. The hotel is a bit run down and needs some tlc, but it was very clean. Would totally stay there again. I wish you had a bar and restaurant.

I wish that my curtains didn't have holes in them. I wish that the view was better. It was pretty dismal, but what could you possibly do about that. :). It would have been great if you had a bar.

The room was nice and so was the breakfast. The staff at check-in (Remy) was super friendly and helpful.

I got a call Saturday afternoon saying they were trying to charge my card even though I opted to “pay at property” upon check in. The lady said they would cancel my reservation but I did not want to give card info over the phone. Luckily, my reservation was not cancelled. This was the only time in all my bookings where a hotel tried to charge me before I even showed up.

Easy access from the high way and around a bunch of restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself was clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall a good hotel.

The ceiling was leaking in the entry way from the rain and the security door feature that requires a room key or the front desk to let you wasn’t working so she either had to come unlock it physically or leave it open. That’s a safety issue and an inconvenience on the employees. It also floods off the main high way if you are ever coming in during heavy rain like myself.

The breakfast was great considering the limitations brought on by Covid restrictions. I found the egg on muffin sandwich tasty and the mandarin oranges refreshing. Having a bottled water for travel in the car was very helpful too. I walked to Chick-File next door for supper and felt safe in the neighborhood.

My room was missing a hairdryer and I didn't bring one, so that limited me to not washing my hair. But the shower was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable and there was a nice assortment of pillows!

Apple Maps routed me from across town to behind a McDonald’s in the dark and told me a fenced off dirt lot was the parking. finding my way around to the front in the dark to the small lighted parking was difficult.

I liked how clean the big the room was and that they respect the sign on the door and the place was quit and near all the restraints and malls I loved it and will be returning for my vacations.

The TV was too dimm.

Great location for our travels. Everything was clean.

The price was a little high. Also, all day and night, we heard the elevator. When you have to be up early in the AM, listening to it all night is very annoying.
