Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Picayune, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is located close to almost everything (restaurants, stores, pharmacies, etc.). I stayed there several times back in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019; it was good every time, but this last stay (July 21 - 22, 2023) was great! The hotel updated its amenities, breakfast area, rooms, its designs, everything! It was super clean. The hallways smelled very good. The bed was comfortable. The shower head delivered a "rain" of warm water; soooo relaxing! My fiancée loved the shampoo and conditioner available in much larger pump-style bottles than hotels typically offer (she has really long hair). They also had a larger bottle with lotion as well that she appreciated. The breakfast offered was diverse, hot, and delicious. I was with my fiancée coming back from a stay at one of the hotels at Universal Studios and passing through Picayune. My fiancée and I agreed that our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Picayune was much better as far as comfort, space, and cleanliness of the room were concerned!

The only bad note was in the morning around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday 22nd, 2023, when two housekeepers banged on the door. When I opened the door, they said, "We were just seeing if you checked out already, but you're good since check-out isn't till 11." Then, they came back around 10 o'clock and banged on the door again for the same reason! 🤦🏾 That was annoying. If check-out isn't until 11 (and you already banged on the door once, potentially waking the guests up while they still have time), you shouldn't come back every 30 minutes. We felt rushed by the two housekeepers to leave.

Breakfast was good, although the pancake maker was broken. Staff was friendly & the lady who checked me in gave me a great dinner recommendation.

I would have liked to know the blinds were controlled by the switch on the wall - I just figured there were no blackout curtains & the house next door had a bright light that shined through the window all night....no one's fault but my own - just would be nice to have a card on the night stand or that to be mentioned upon check-in.

Clean and fairly well maintained Guest rooms are always very clean. Make it a point to tip the housekeeper responsible for cleaning my room upon departure

The black cabs that encompass electronic lock on the cast from doors were one scans the key kept coming off. And I noticed other locks must’ve had the same issue or they were missing. Failed to mention this to the front desk

Good location, competitive rate..........good parking, felt safe.

A good breakfast was one of the reasons I chose to stay.....Well, breakfast was a joke . There was 1 server ....1 spoon of eggs, No fruit, No sausage, No bacon, milk was sour...told the server, she ignored me. Terrible breakfast! Terrible server. I know, blame covid ....bull they need to do better. The motel looked new., easy access Anyway, if you're looking for a room around Picayune keep looking. I usually stay in Holiday Inns....., but they weren't their usual. Many other motels to choose from . Pass the Holiday Inn Express up.

The breakfast was good. Plenty of variety. The desk clerks we dealt with were very friendly.

We had no maid service. Other hotels we’ve stayed in leave new sets of towels in the room each day.

staff was amazing and friendly, and it was very very very very clean!!!!!

the bed wasn’t as comfy as I would have wished they definitely need new beds and the air conditioning wouldn’t stay on it keepet kicking on and off and it got warm in there thru out the night

Breakfast was very good. Loved the cinnamon rolls. Was not noisy.

The beds were very high and hard for me to get in. Not enough counter spacey in bathroom.

Nice hotel. They are short staffed, but that isn't the hotel's fault. They did the best they could considering they were short staffed. The lady at the front desk was more than accommodating for us and we were more than pleased with her. The cleaning staff were very attentive as well.

I wish the pool was heated. It was a little too cold to swim in.

The staff was primo from front desk, kitchen and maid service. They were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast and room went beyond our expectations.

Free breakfast was good, sad there was no bacon on Sunday.

Price was too high. The lighting in the room was dim. Floor was extremely loud to walk on.
