Motel 6 Hagerstown, MD

This is my third trip to the Hagerstown area and the 3rd time I ended up at this Travelodge due to disastrous accommodations booked elsewhere. It is always clean. I can smell just a hint bleach in the linens and the towels. I like that they have no carpet in the rooms, so I don't have to worry about allergens trapped in the rugs. They have a decent size refrigerator and microwave. The beds are firm, but comfortable. The staff is friendly and polite.

I can't say there is nothing I didn't like. I can say it is a bit sparse when it comes to the extra amenities and the water closet is a bit tight. So, don't look for a blow dryer and coffee maker in your room. That being said, those things don't matter to me. I never use them anyway. The worst I can say is there is only one chair in the room and they needed to replace the weather stripping around the door. Both of which are not a deal breaker for me.

It was just a quick stopover on a road trip. There was bad rain after we toured Antietam, so we stopped earlier than expected, with no advance reservation. There were lots of restaurants in the area, which was nice. The price was the lowest in the area, particularly important when just stopping for one night.

The quality was fine. Unremarkable, but it was certainly clean.

When you walk in the room you smell just the slightest hint of bleach, which made me happy. The room was clean and updated with wood floors instead of filthy carpet. the air conditioner was really quiet compared to other properties we have stayed in.

The was no lamps in the room. There is only one wall sconce. The room is a little bare bones, but that is no big deal.

- the lady at the front desk was very friendly - parking right in front of the room - clean room, 2 large beds, good waterpressure in the shower, a microwave and fridge Dont understand why others scoring is so low. It's a very good place to stay. Everything you need is there.

Nothing. Its a bit an older hotel, but so what.

The little body towels that were put in the room had to go to the front desk to get regular size and there was no way to find out how to call the front office i had to look the number up on my phone

The whole check in experience is quick and fast. They even have washing and drying machine for laundry at the lobby.

They don’t have hair dryer, and the pool was closed because of the season (May)

Love the price and location. Hotel is ok for an emergency stop or just a night... its ok

No lamps at all, all lights super bright to keep on 24/7. Wish it had some lamps next to bed or underneath tv etc...

I liked everything, the location was near everything, markets, gas stations, hardware...if needed, and restaurants.

The staff was excellent and the unit was very clean. It's an older motel so you have to expect some wear but all and all it was a great stay for the price. I'd definitely book again!

I was very disappointed that the pool was closed for repairs. I was not aware of this and we were so excited to be poolside until we got there. It was a bummer 😔

Clean, close to the interstate. Good value. Wasn't noisy as others have said. Stayed on a Saturday night and it was quiet. Everything was good!

I have no complaints.
