La Quinta by Wyndham Columbia / Fort Meade

The price and that it included breakfast was nice. The location was right across the street from some decent fast casual restaurants. Overall appeared clean and even though our room was right by the ice machine and elevator, the noise was minimal.

The bathroom sink was separate from the bathroom, which is fine but barely has any counter space. Pillows were plenty but small and a bit lumpy. Breakfast was okay for what it is (typical for La Quinta) but the texture of the scrambled eggs are highly questionable.

The lobby, breakfast choices. the gym view. The night auditor who worked the Christmas eve into Christmas morning shift was so pleasant at check-in. He really made us feel welcome.

The room was not throughly cleaned upon arrival. office chair had dirty marks. Carpet had some dirty spots. Phone was not dusted properly. Room had undergone spot cleaning instead of thorough. The beds and tub were clean, so I was not bothered by that as much.

The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. The breakfast was great with bacon and scrambled eggs, muffins, bagels, juices, coffee, tea etc. I would highly recommend it.

It's close to what appears to be not the best part of town but we never had a problem or felt unsafe at all. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

You could still smell the lingering smoke (from when it was allowed) when you enter the building, but not at all in the room.

Good location, good parking, nice facility, good value.

We moved a bed slightly to accommodate a roll-away bed, and the exposed floor was incredibly dirty and disgusting. The room also was beginning to look worn and tired (bathroom tiles and caulking, wall coverings, ceiling, etc).

Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. My dog was welcome and there are a lot of fields around the property for dog walking.

Some of the breakfast food was not very good to my taste, but there were a variety of options and you can find something to satisfy you.

The room was quaint, smaller than what we were use to but was still nice. I liked the color scheme with contrast colors. Bed was comfortable. It had a reclining chair in the room. The tv had limited channels but did have Showtime. We were able to find several shows and movies we liked. My girlfriend was able to catch several football games. That kinda took away from our personal time but she was happy. That's all that mattered. The front desk agent was very nice and accommodating. When he saw me he would ask if everything was ok. I give big props for that !! 👍😀

We weren't fond of the bathroom. Very small, kind of claustrophobic. Shower only had on handicap bar next to the shower head. It would be nice if they put one on the side to help seniors keep their balance. The sink and mirror was pretty. The sink had low water pressure. We looked out the window and saw woods and a creek. Not much to look at. We had no problem connecting to the in-house Wi-Fi, but we would get a message of No Internet at times. So that was useless. Lastly, this place is tucked away like on a dark service road. When you arrive, GPS tells you to make a right turn. But there is a gas station and Holiday in there. So you have to go to the next light and turn right then follow that road around. Use high beams so you can see and not hit the tractor trailers parked.

My wife and I stayed for a night to see a concert at the Merriweather Post. The hotel was close enough and very comfy.

The parking was a little small with an awkward underground parking lot that was hiding.

When we checked in the person was not the friendliest! And the elevator was out...I hate stairs

The room was very comfortable and the tv was nice. Overall, we enjoyed our room and our time at this hotel.

The only mishap we had was when we first checked in. We were given our room key, went up to our room, and there was someone in it. It was very late at night and we had to go all the way back downstairs to get a new room.
